Outcast Silver Raiders looks very very pretty.

    A Blackbirds Review

The setting sounds amazing. I just wish they had chosen a different game system to run it with, but at least it's not another 5e game.

RPG Crowdfunding News – Monty Python, Paranoia, M&M and More

If the company is having cash flow issues, I'm guessing no.

RPG Crowdfunding News – Monty Python, Paranoia, M&M and More

I think Green Ronin in general is struggling.

Stormlight RPG Coming from Brandon Sanderson's Novels

They'll use 5e since that's all that seems to sell these days. Such a shame.

Broken Weave Is A Tragic Fantasy Setting From Cubicle 7

This sounds a lot like Dark Sun, at least thematically. Color me interested.

Ah, the megapede. Yet another Dark Sun monster snuck into the mix. Dark Sun confirmed!

A Review of Ruins Of Symbaroum For D&D Fifth Edition

Not sure why they would. The MYZ game system is far better equipped than 5e for running survival style games, which is what MYZ is. Symbaroum was always kind of a one-off RPG with its own system, but well known for its amazing artwork and adventures. The MYZ engine is used in almost all Free...

Absalom, City of Lost Omens In-Depth Review

I just re-read the review again and noticed that I misread the reviewer's take on the imposition of modern world "issues" on said material. I take back my original comment. Carry on.

Absalom, City of Lost Omens In-Depth Review

So they took the original Absalom book (which was awesome) and watered it down for "sensitivities"? Hard pass.

Meh, Savage Worlds can already do all of that stuff, and more.

D&D Movie/TV First Footage of D&D Honor Among Thieves: Dungeons, Dragons, Teamwork, With Superhero Vibe

You lost me at Marvel. Actually, you lost me way back when they announced a new D&D movie that wasn't based on a decent D&D novel.

D&D 5E New Unearthed Arcana: Heroes of Krynn Revisited

That is not going to happen. Tasha's was the book where WotC basically said psionics will be a combination of feats and subclasses. I also doubt we will see either Planescape or Dark Sun as a classic setting for 5e. Both are likely too "mature" for the grey mass that 5e has become.

Dragonlance DRAGONLANCE is coming this year!

I'm pretty sure psionics are decided. They've gone ahead with the subclasses and feats route in Tasha's. Dark Sun would be an easy sell I think, and most of the work is already done. If we assume the slipcase format Spelljammer used, we'd get an adventure book, a bestiary, and a setting guide...

Dragonlance DRAGONLANCE is coming this year!

So that brings me back to my previous question. Can this really be classified as a "classic setting" or is it just an "adventure." If we look back at Ravenloft, we got an adventure first (Curse of Strahd) and then Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft. This adventure seems more like the former than...

Dragonlance DRAGONLANCE is coming this year!

So technically this isn't a campaign setting product, it's an adventure and a battle game. Does that mean there is still one more unannounced classic campaign setting for 2022? I'm hoping yes.

D&D 5E Announcement Next Week--What Hints For Upcoming D&D Books?

Not sure why they would pick Dragonlance over Dark Sun unless they are throwing out all of the previous survey results on setting popularity. Then again, I shudder to think at what they'd do to the Dark Sun setting to make it "accessible."

D&D 5E Check Out Joy Ang's Alternate Covers for the D&D Gift Set

Reprints of reprints of reprints. Hard pass. Covers are too cartoony, and too much white space.
