D&D General D&D Red Box: Who Is The Warrior?

That's not being weird, it's being aware.

RPG Crowdfunding News – Adventure Time, Campaign Builder, Book of Spirits, and more

Yep. Slapping the old "5e Compatible" sticker on the cover doesn't have the pull it used to.

Planescape: Adventures in the Multiverse Review

The older lore is always better. Anything 3.5e or earlier is a gold mine.

RPG Crowdfunding News – Floral Dragons, Lairs & Legends, Secret Dragons, and more

Nightfell looks pretty dope. Nice to see more PF2e third party stuff.

Paizo Announces Pathfinder War of Immortals Meta Event

Yeah, they've used that font before for some previous splat books. It's a bit too cartoony IMO.

Paizo Announces Pathfinder War of Immortals Meta Event

Wayne Reynolds art is a favorite of mine. But the text is kinda meh. Good thing this is just a temporary image and not final cover art.

Paizo Announces Pathfinder War of Immortals Meta Event

I'll be keeping my eye on this one. Mythic rules (not counting the Epic Level Handbook) and the death of a god are both things I lack on my bookshelf.

Arc Dream Announces Black Company RPG

Very much looking forward to this.

RPG Crowdfunding News – Coriolis, Knights of Dust and Neon, The Lost Bay, and more

I've heard this game/setting mentioned so many times in podcasts I listen to that I had to back it as well. I've heard good things about it using an evolution of the Year Zero game engine, as that was one of the complaints I saw about the older edition.

Ben Riggs: 'The Golden Age of TTRPGs is Dead'

Thank you sir! Shadowdark would be amazing too. The stuff released so far is awesome.

Ben Riggs: 'The Golden Age of TTRPGs is Dead'

Yes. I'm fully planning on doing some one shots for a smaller subset of my friends who are less 5e-centric and then hoping one catches on. Forbidden Lands would be my next campaign if I had to choose.

Ben Riggs: 'The Golden Age of TTRPGs is Dead'

I'm in the same boat as you it seems. Don't enjoy 5e anymore, don't like any of the books from Tasha's onwards (coincidentally that's when Mearls was ousted). The challenge is getting my friends to try new games. So far they're good with 2e, 3.5e, Pathfinder 1e and Savage Worlds, but anything...

D&D General No More Baldur's Gate From Larion: Team Is 'Elated'

And those other companies/publishers shouldn't get a free pass to do this either. WotC can reap what it sows.

    Meet Our Columnists: Robert Adducci

I had to nerf/ban/houserule a lot of stuff to make it work. Was way too much effort IMO when the game could have been much easier to run in 2e or 3.5e where all of that work has been done already. If I was to use a non-D&D game for it I'd likely go with Forbidden Lands or Savage Worlds. 5e is...

    Meet Our Columnists: Robert Adducci

As someone who has run it with 5e, I can agree with that feeling. If I ran it again, it would be 2e using the original books, or 3.5e using Athas.org's awesome conversion.
