You clearly haven't read what mearls is proposing, since nearly every example you give is not how it would work under his proposal. That said, I have no real issue with keeping them out losing them. My thought is that people sometimes have a hard time looking at changes to something that has...

Yup, that book convinced me for sure. Plus all you other points. Now add in portals and flying ships and magic carts and other ways to travel.... I've never quite understood why this is an issue for an many people. But then, I tend not to take my gaming overly seriously in terms of the world.

I loved that plant article so much that I created a PDF on dmsguild that includes them.... Which is not my best seller, and contains an experiment in statblicks that failed. While Kerr's article is perhaps too realistic, I still used it a lot to make me think differently about being outside.

Dang. No biggie. Also, mearls might release Odyssey next year, his 5e compatible game.... We'll see 99% sure Nimble 5e was the original name for Nimble 2 (and their other "system" is Nimble 1, which are optional rules for 5e).
