OD&D Rob Kuntz Licenses RPG Materials For 1E & 5E

Really? Mod Edit: Off-color joke removed, sorry. ~Umbran Erm, wait. No. Moving on... EDIT: Sorry Umbran, I won't do it again. Well, I probably will, and you'll have to correct me again. ;)

Now do the dwarves! And follow it up with that other classic, Snow Dwarf and the Seven Wights!

D&D 5E [Kobold Press] Vault of Magic Kickstarter

Kobold Press just keeps trying to pick my pocket... nasty, nasty koboldses!

RPG Crowdfunding News – Twisted Taverns, Traveller, Everway, and more

I'm okay with OSE; it's generally easier to convert to 5E, anyway.

Is The One Ring 2E Kickstarter going to break the records?

Tempted... tempted... But I'll wait for their AIME 2E kickstarter. :)

    EVERWAY Then and Now

Ah, I remember looking at it on the shelves at B&N back when I was 13... it looked fascinating, but that was also a period of my life when my parents weren't letting me bring home any RPG books (when I was 11, they threw out all my D&D books as they thought it was teaching me racism and hate)...

RPG Print News – Melsonian Arts Council, Exalted Funeral, and More

Glad to know I'm not the only guy who feels this way! I love everything else about the game, but that's put me off from actually bringing it to the table. And yet, since I use digital dice rollers behind the screens, it certainly doesn't stop me from borrowing lots of tables from DCC sources -...

Return To Al-Amarja For The First Time With Over The Edge Third Edition

I had quite a bit of the On The Edge CCG... though the only thing I can remember about it now is that there was a card with a "nihilistic talking dog" with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth. I've wanted to run a nihilistic talking dog PC as a character in some RPG ever since.

D&D Movie/TV Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith Join D&D Movie

Jeremy Irons was the only good part of the D&D movie. The man plays villains with such relish... But I would put the movie from 20 years ago out of mind; it's not even relevant. It was by an untested young director with a relatively modest budget. These days, after the D&D boom of the last few...

D&D 5E My players just drew from the Deck of Many Things - and Holy Crap!

If you're playing in Midgard and are having trouble with Skein Witches, a Deck of Many Things can be handy to have around - just being within 30 ft of one causes them (the witches, that is) to be annihilated!

Books everyone seems to love, but you just can't

The Psalms are great, yes, but better for dipping in slowly. I've never been one for reading massive chunks of poetry in one sitting, though - better savored and contemplated a little at a time.

Books everyone seems to love, but you just can't

Books everyone seems to love, but you just can't

Books I couldn't get into: The Sword of Truth series. Just atrociously bad writing, and nothing grabbed me about it at all. A Song of Fire and Ice series. Tried to read the first book... maybe just not my kind of fantasy. The Baroque Cycle. I'm an obsessive Neal Stephenson fan - and yet, I...

Books everyone seems to love, but you just can't

Speaking as a non-Christian who loves the Bible as literature: The Bible isn't a book, it's a collection of books, written in different languages over a period spanning nearly a millenium, and it was ordered the way it was for doctrinal and pedagogical purposes, not for being an enjoyable read...

D&D 5E Monster Manual Expanded III HARDCOVER/PoD is FINALLY OUT! Get it now from the DM's Guild!

The Total Party Kill Bestiaries Vol 1. and 2 are pretty great, too, if you're trying to challenge PCs above 10th level. :)

    D&D 5E D&D Up 35% In 2020 While Virtual Play Rises 86%

I'm sure that D&D books and sets now being staples of the book and toy sections of Target has a fair bit to do with it; never underestimate the psychological impact of putting the product front and center rather than hiding it back with the sci-fi novels in a typical bookstore. Between that and...

    ENWorld's Guide to Life

Never push your mother while she's shaving. Man who walks sideways through airport going to Bangkok. You can know the difference between an oral and a rectal thermometer by taste, but I'd recommend you choose a different method.
