D&D 5E (2014) D&D Beyond Confirms Monsters of the Multiverse's May Standalone Release

No one ever went bankrupt pandering to completionist tendencies of hobbyists.

Microsoft to purchase Activision Blizzard for $68.9 billions

Good. Maybe they can stop putting terrible people into their video games. Kevin Spacey, I'm looking at you. And you, Oliver North.

D&D 5E (2024) I think we are on the cusp of a sea change.

That is demonstrably untrue. A broken clock, i.e. one that does not properly function, could be continuously incorrect due to losing or gaining time. Now a stopped clock will be right twice daily. Similarly, there are few things around that can be compared as easily as apples and oranges.

RPG Print News – Free League, Chaosium, Modiphius, Osprey, and More

My only quibble with the Horror On The Orient Express box set is that it almost certainly lacks the olfactory experience from my original playthrough, which married the scents of cheap beer, bad weed, Doritos, pizza, and a bunch of dudes playing for hours on end. Then again, maybe that's for...

TSR Now it’s WotC’s Turn: WotC Moves Against TSR3

    A) I can't afford the high-end stuff that he undoubtedly drinks. B) I can't afford his hourly rate, which is probably north of $1,000 an hour. For some perspective, 15 years ago, when I was a lowly junior associate, I was billed out at $350 an hour.

TSR Now it’s WotC’s Turn: WotC Moves Against TSR3

Okay. Now I almost feel bad for NuTSR. WOTC brought in the ringer to get the mark canceled. Per the firm's website, the lead attorney, Stuart Dunwoody, in addition to looking like a more handsome version of Steve Martin, also represented the Pokémon Company International in copyright...

TSR Now it’s WotC’s Turn: WotC Moves Against TSR3

Good work, TSR 3.5. You got the attention of a 100 year-old white-shoe law firm with more than 500 attorneys. Have fun attacking a dragon turtle with a wet noodle.

    Dammit! +ve covid test

If you go with the original formulation, while it won't help with the cold virus itself, the hit of cocaine will probably mitigate the symptoms.

    TSR TSR3.5 Voluntarily Dismisses Lawsuit

More like TSR 3.5's lawyer wised up and realized his law license is worth a helluva lot more than whatever he stood to gain from this lawsuit.

    Dammit! +ve covid test

Best wishes and speedy recovery. Here in suburban Maryland, the public schools have been doing a pretty good job of staying on top of things. All students are tested on Monday, with results emailed on Tuesday. And when I say "all students," I mean all students. Pre-K (3 & 4 year-olds)...

D&D 5E (2014) Alphastream - Why No RPG Company Truly Competes with Wizards of the Coast

There are dangers in using FYs 2020 and 2021 as any benchmark for future revenue projections. They are anomalous and, frankly, quite a few companies have been pulled from the brink thanks to lockdown. 2020 & 2021 have been anomalies. I read "non-book sales" to mean that WOTC figured that MTG...

I'd recommend against that. You don't want those fumes near your marshmallow.

How Do You Reduce Your Collection?

    1) Board games my wife and I play together (Wingspan, HeroQuest) - Keep. You are actually getting use out of them. 2) RPGs I'm currently playing (Monster of the Week, D&D 5e, WFRP) - Keep. You are actually getting use out of them. 3) RPGs I have played somewhat recently, but don't think I'll be...

D&D 5E (2014) Do PCs at your table have script immunity?

PCs can die, usually from stupidity, sometimes from bad luck. And usually it's a combination of the two, like when a Level 7 character who the player had really come to love died after picking a fight with a dragon and then stayed dead because the cleric forgot that he had revivify. Though...

D&D General D&D is so mainstream...

It's even worse... According to the actual saying, the proof OF THE pudding is in the eating. I suggest using a wooden spoon, as the Black Pudding will dissolve a metal one.
