The Bilgewater raiders are opposed by the warships of the Freesails Company, a merchant sponsored group of captains striving to keep the waters clear of trouble so that a more permanent foothold on Pterra can be constructed. So far, the Freesails have given chase to several pirate vessels but...

Deep within the fog-shrouded caldera of an island lagoon off the western coast of Pterra lies the hidden port of Bilgewater, home port to the Blacksabre raiders that raid eastbound shipping. Only the captains of the pirate vessels themselves know the secret paths through the deadly coral reefs...

World's Largest Dungeon in actual play [Spoilers!]

Taken literally the way the SRD has this written, any incorporeal creature that attempted to pass through a wall would then be eternally trapped in it, as they can not pass fully out of it again. The back of the wall would be their new front as they try to retreat, a surface they can't move from...

World's Largest Dungeon in actual play [Spoilers!]

Wow, is that ever ridiculous. So a ghost can pass through the front of a wall as easy as pie but can't go out the back of it? I don't know of any DM's who actually run incorporeal creatures that way. Very nonsensical to me. Any rational as to why they can't pass through?

World's Largest Dungeon in actual play [Spoilers!]

Since when is that the case? Incorporeal creatures can move through solid objects at will, they just can't see through them.

A massive sargassum called The Sea Hag's Eye drifts in the warm currents off the eastern coast of Pterra. This mass of vegetation is home to several coveys of hags and has claimed many ships in it's tendrils over the years. What few surmise is that an enourmous aquatic tendiculous and its many...

PTERRAN GEOGRAPHY SO FAR Pterra is a lush and warm land situated in the southern climes of its world, a land where dinosaurs still thrive and where reptiles are dominant. Numerous islands dot its coasts, settled by the Mar-Zud dwarves, the humans of Anchorhome, by the halfling Ruu-Kashtta...

Maybe just the Sahuagin left. Quite a list. I kind of envisioned the Draakhin as villains as well for some reason.

What most call the earth dragon is actually the rusted remains of a collossal Khal-Zud (earth dwarves) digging machine that has erupted from below the surface and whose machinery failed in the last push. The thumping of its engine has called all manner of subterranean beast to the area and the...

These elders, called The Seers of Sethiss, use repeated poisonous serpent bites to enter a delirium-like state whereby the claim to be given visions of the future by their reptilian lord while they hover at death's door. Most folk feel that the goblin warriors wear such elaborate costumes as an easy means to identify the dead as they have a horrible rate of success. What most don't know is that the goblins are seeking the legendary leader they were promised in an ancient prophecy found in some ruins they...

Neat idea, but Reread the first Pterra post. 'Pterra is a lush and warm land situated in the southern climes of it's world...' Maybe these barbarians dwell in longhouses made of the bones of their dinosaur enemies as a show of their strength?

The Shael, the elves of Pterra, build their settlements high in the trees of the northern swamp deltas, safe from the predations of most dinosaurs. Their spellcasters are somehow able to "sing" the living wood of their homes into wondrous forms of great strength, an art that also creates the...

    Pterra

The ancient ancestors of the Draakhin are the source of many of the ruins that dot the lands of Pterra. One group of humans, displaced by the predations of predators, sought refuge in the shattered stones on one such site, unaware of the dangers. Slowly altered by the fell magics of the place...
