To the OP: Hard coded class features that help with the non-combat "pillars" of adventure. The Battlemaster's 7th level feature, while quite shaky, is a good start for inspirations, or so I believe.

As far as I know, they don't get new ST proficiencies when multiclassing. Unless you take the Resilient feat or get a certain number of levels in Monk, Rouge, etc., you're stuck with your first class' STs.

Well, apart from resistances, I believe that they should have at least be given magical weapon attacks. Frankly it's quite disturbing to see them get slaughtered by iron golems that easily...
