D&D General What do you actually like about D&D?

I like the "platonic ideal" of D&D. Basocally, a version of the game that never existed exactly like that, where all the races, classes, rules, and setting exist the way I imagine them to be, AND the players are fully immersed. Revised 2E but without the later bloat, a setting like a mix of...

Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

No, they assist Inquisitors, Grey Knights and "Nuns with Guns", usually. They count as Tempestus Scions so they are a notch above regular guardsmen.

Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

I printed this mini (Vaskar Commando) and painted it in the colours of the "55th Kappic Eagles" Tempestus Scions. I hope I can paint enough of them to start plaing Kill Team.

D&D General What Should Today's Archetypes Be

Basically something like the A-Team: Intelligent Hero (Hannibal) Charming Hero (Face) "Tech-savvy" Hero (Murdock) Strong Hero (B.A.)

    Chinese Geomancers?

Dolmenwood has Ley Lines that are somewhat imprtant. The Drunes, a faction which guards the standing stones along those lines, are described as geomants.

And the "big one" : Watching this video will make or break it, if you've been on the fence. Somewhat spoilery, but very thorough:

They're all 100% human, though, your players? Whatever goes into the blank space in your quote, it's bound to be a human ethnicity. Breggle however are literally a sentient NONhuman species. They're not "humans with horns". ...And for the record, my two sons are half-__, because my wife is __.

Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

Thanks! As I said, I've only gotten back into painting 2-3 months ago, after two decades of hiatus.

That makes you queasy? The breggle and their antics have been much toned down since the days of the Wormskin zine. It's only some offspring that's deformed. It's a little nod to Lovecraft's "Dunwich horror" I suppose... [emoji2369]

Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

I have the Speedpaints Mega Set but I often use them in conjunction with regular acrylics, as filters and washes. On a sidenote, here's another one I painted up these last days.

Fighting the Gray Tide (Miniature Painting)

I've gotten a 3d printer a couple months ago, and plunged back into a hobby I had put on hold 2 decades ago. I'm loving it. I wasn't too bad at painting miniatures back then (though nowhere near as good as many others) but I feel like I've actually become better even now. Here's a few of my...

Dolmenwood ks has over 7000 followers

For those of you on the fence: a deep-dive into the Player's Book. As a Patreon-supporter I can tell you that if you watch this video, you'll have quite enough to make an informed decision. Of course, you haven't seen the Campaign Book (detailing the world) yet, but this gives great insight into...

Dolmenwood: An Interview with Gavin Norman

I suspected it would happen today. It's kind of strange because it happened, not during the initial two days, nor during the home-stretch, but during the long slog of the middle (albeit still at the beginning of said slog). Strange, but fortunate! I hope this will boost brand-recognition much...
