What you guys say is a shame, rhough, because Gavin specifically adapted the rules to the setting. If you do choose to port it to a different system, the one thing you shouldn't do is mess with the available kindreds and classes. Adding half-orcs, or tieflings, or barbarians, paladins, warlocks...
I hope/think this will push past 1 million by the end. It's not even been up for 2 full days and we're already at over $800k. Backing will certainly slow down now until the last couple of days, as all Kickstarters do, but this is doing so well and hasn't even gone viral the way Shadowdark has...
I like "Player Agency"(tm) by proxy of character agency within the confines of a consistent setting/world. I don't like player "entitlement" to create whatever crazily outlandish (and lore-disregarding) character they wish to play.

But also YES to removing Dex from ranged damage. The power of bows is a function of the user's strength. Dex for accuracy, but Str for damage.
I might try and adapt Xoth (purely for personal use) as a setting for Mythras/d100. It would be an awesome fit. But I'll have to familiarize myself with the setting first.
