My quest to be the definitive female giff artist continues. I give you a cleric giff. Pose and clothing based on Larry Elmore's drawing. My apologies for turning Aleena into a hipo. For the druid I considered a bear skin cloak but it occurred to me you should always be yourself unless you can...

    Release Thanks for Hippo Women

After creating Thanks for Eye Horrors, I've continued to think about the growing collection of female giff I've drawn. To my knowledge there is no official art of a female giff which is a shame. Artwork have served as inspiration for countless characters especially of new players. Without any...

Holiday Cheer - Holiday monster manual

I've thought about doing a Great Pumpkin. Mine was going to be a pumpkin beholder. I suppose I have a rose beholder as well which you could do a Valentine's Day creature. I'd probably go with something Cupid inspired instead.

    Dragon Magazine Cover Remakes

It is a xixchil. They are matis people like thri-kreen but perform surgical changes to their body. Yeah probably should have added the stick. However there are foolish adventurers at least for a short time. :)

    Dragon Magazine Cover Remakes

This one I've held off on posting until Wildspace Magazine 3 was out. Wildspace Magazine is a Spelljammer fanzine. A contributor asked for a giff, rastipede, and xixchil. I had a female giff but decided to draw a new one. Rather than distract from my Dragon magazine cover project I looked for a...

    Dragon Magazine Cover Remakes

Peaceful day at the beach until a dragon turtle comes out of the water. Sure the original cover didn't have a dragon turtle coming on the beach but I wanted to draw a dragon turtle. You might recognize elements of the cover used in my DMGuild's title Dragon Turtle of Stormwreck Isle. The nice...

What happens when you like beholders too much? You think what about a pumpkin beholder, a beehive beholder, an overmind, an octopus beholder, a mechanical beholder, etc. Here is the most recent a peacock beholder. I tried a beak but didn't like it. Instead I kept it's legs and talons for...

D&D General “‘Scantily Clad and Well Proportioned’: Sexism and Gender Stereotyping in the Gaming Worlds of TSR and Dungeons & Dragons.”

You know I've thought about doing a redraw of David Martin's cover but I don't really care for it. I'd heard it caused some stir but I don't really consider it much worse than some of the other covers. Dragon 52 for example.

    Dragon Magazine Cover Remakes

This was a favorite cover of the Dragon magazines I owned as a kid. I don't think my version is great. The hidden creature is very subtle in the original. The background is not as interesting. I used a tiefling in place of the human. Maybe she is looking for her dog? Original Cover by Larry Elmore

    Release Thanks For Eye Horrors

Looking for an unusual eye horror? How about an octopus eye horror? Maybe a plant eye horror? Perhaps a beehive animated somehow? I've been making lots of weird beholder like creatures. I decided to collect them together and make them available. There are 11 main designs. The pumpkin eye...

Why do I draw more weird beholder version? I like beholders. Galaad Miniatures made an awesome plant beholder. Here is my drawing for it.
