    Dragon Magazine Cover Remakes

Issue had a hologram on the cover with a dragon. When I tried drawing a similar dragon it just looks too small. I eventually decided to go with only seeing part of the dragon. Also switched the drow to a drider. Original Cover by Larry Elmore

    Dragon Magazine Cover Remakes

The first Dragon magazine had a dragon laying down on the cover. How do I make something different? How about Demodragon from the D&D cartoon? Original Cover by Bill Hannan

How Do You Keep Track of All Your RPG Books?

I use Calibre for my pdfs. For physical products, I don't have a list. Which is why I have two copies of the Dragonlance book for 3.5.

    Dragon Magazine Cover Remakes

For this cover, I've replaced the human with an aasimar. Pointy Hat (youtuber) talked about aasimar needing a distinct look that conveys their angel status. Not fond of his vestigial wings but liked the idea of feathers on shoulders and back. Original Cover by Charles Vess

From a new campaign, I bring you warfused rats. Can an aeorian absorber and intellect devourer be made into pokemon? I think so. How about a variant Eye of the Deep based on Christopher Burdett's version. (Check out his other designs as well.)

    Dragon Magazine Cover Remakes

For this cover I replaced the treant with a strangler from Spelljammer. (It's an old monster not in the new Spelljammer books I believe.) The cover makes more sense as a treant upset at someone chopping down a tree but I already drew some treants and like to do more Spelljammer art. Stranglers...

    Dragon Magazine Cover Remakes

This one has significant differences from the original. I like the characters from Take me to church by Reinaeiry. That design is what I used for the summoner. The demon is from Tome of Horrors. It has been suggested I include a signature/url on the image so that people can find me if the image...

D&D General People make amazing D&D Art

This a bit of an inside joke in my game. A player complained about the weird creatures I sent against them and joked that the party would next fight a giant fire breathing spider fish frog dog. I finally used it in the game and figured it needed a drawing.

Did you know Buck Rogers had an rpg by TSR? They even promoted it on the cover of Dragon magazine. I went with a Star Trek like look but it still has a rocketship. Original Cover by Jerry Bingham

    Dragon Magazine Cover Remakes

This cover is a very early issue. It seems to drawn for the Quag Keep excerpt. I have redone the composition because I didn't like how the characters were positioned. I replaced the psuedo dragon with a dragon mouse. Technically this is a Greyhawk cover since that is the location of the novel...

    Dragon Magazine Cover Remakes

Yet another cover. I replaced the giant frog with a flailsnail. Wand is smoking because the wizard polymorphed his opponent. It's not as head on like the original which I think makes mine worse. Original Cover by Carol Heyer
