    Brick Monsters is here!

What is Brick Monsters? Brick Monsters is a combination of a Monster Manual and building instructions for Lego bricks. My goal is to include two different designs for the same monster along with suggestions of alternate possibilities if you don't have the needed pieces. It will also include...

What Happened to Warforged in Mournland?

Not exactly. The living construct rules say go inert between 0 and -10 hit points. At -10 or less hps, they are destroyed. I suspect the Day of Mourning reduced most to below -10 hps.

    Converting Monsters From Gamma World

For the interested I've started putting together a Gamma World Monster list similar to Echohack's D&D monster list. I haven't gotten very far with it yet.

    Dimensional Lock And Summon Monster!

Yeah, I think it would prevent the use of summon monster inside it's effect. It more questionable if you could cast the spell inside the effect but have the most appear outside. I would probably say the spell still fails and needs to cast outside the dimensional lock.

    Tiny Hut problem

I think of it as something to protect against the elements than battle so your idea of ending if more than 10 people enter seems reasonable. Since it can't prevent attack from going through the hut I'm not sure that it is really necessary. Especially since a party is not usually big enough to...

I am looking for a race for a NPC

The CR system is just a guide anyway. It is entirely possible to create a monster whose CR is appropriate for the party but is unbeatable. I think the Core Coliseum on the WotC forum stopped using non associated levels for the monster fights because people felt they were too tough in some...

D&D 3.x Comparing Standard 3.5 Variant Magic Systems

But that isn't what the original poster is looking for. He dislikes Vancian magic and wants to replace. I assume that means cleric, druid, sorcerer, wizard and all other casters. While using a psion instead of a sorcerer makes it more unique than the wizard, it does nothing to solve the...

D&D 3.x Comparing Standard 3.5 Variant Magic Systems

I don't have a problem refluffing the astral constructs to golems or something. The problem I have is that I can no longer be a summoner. The astral constructs are the closest things to summon monster but it has a very different feel. Additionally even if you replace wizard/sorcerer with...

D&D 3.x Comparing Standard 3.5 Variant Magic Systems

The problem is that psionics has a different feel to it than magic. Take astral construct and summon monster as an example. Astral construct feels like you are taking lego pieces and building a monster. For summon monster you're just kinda stuck we the options available. My brother feels...

D&D 3.x Comparing Standard 3.5 Variant Magic Systems

I've never used a spell point system. I have looked at the spell point system in the SRD for running a game where the characters are inside an MMORPG. It just doesn't seem that well designed to me. Instead I went with a mostly standard spell system. Wizards were eliminated and all casters...
