    D&D 5E (2014) Glory of the Giants' AI-Enhanced Art

I mean, at a certain level I do get it: AI can fill in details really quickly and can do a sometimes passable job. To me, it generally looks very muddy (AI with clothing is generally a tell for me) but sometimes it's okay. Again, I think it's incredibly sad given that the sketched art given was...

    D&D 5E (2014) Glory of the Giants' AI-Enhanced Art

I would, too, but they apparently let this go despite the fact that the instant they released it people immediately noticed the problems with it. When someone like me can tell that something is wrong, I feel like an art director should have noticed. It's why I think it's more likely that they...

    D&D 5E (2014) Glory of the Giants' AI-Enhanced Art

Yeah, I think the idea of "This is new tech, how could they know?" is a very, very low standard to hold. I find it difficult to believe that this person didn't have any idea of the process of someone who is doing final art pieces for your book. How do you hire them without asking or finding out...

    D&D 5E (2014) Glory of the Giants' AI-Enhanced Art

Better question: did they actually review it in the first place?

    D&D 5E (2014) Glory of the Giants' AI-Enhanced Art

Honestly I'm amazed that the Frost Giantess drawing passed scrutiny even without being identified as AI art. That one just looks bad. But given that it seems this guy was specifically hired to "enhance" or otherwise do something with these pictures, seems negligent that they wouldn't look into...

Paizo Community Update and a Look Ahead

Saving it for GenCon, I assume? Or are they not there this year? I honestly haven't been paying attention to the convention circuit.

Pathfinder 2E What Are The Changes In Pathfinder Remastered?

I'm a PDF person, so DDB was always a bad format for me. But overall it does look very nice from what it's giving you, I just haven't had a need to use it yet.

Pathfinder 2E What Are The Changes In Pathfinder Remastered?

It looks like instead of +Stat they are looking to add some level of versatility to each Cantrip to try and make up for it. For example, the aforementioned Ignition also has a Melee mode which uses d6s instead of d4s, so you can be Roy Mustang in the streets and Kyo Kusanagi in the sheets. More...

    Rage of Elements Preview: Air

Yeah, they're starting to get out there. Here is NoNat1s giving the basics of the Kineticist, which sounds like a doozy of a class. He describes it as complicated, but capable of just about anything.

    D&D 5E (2024) Playtest Packet 6: Monk reactions?

It's not about refusing to shoot people, it's about their class being the exact opposite: their features are meant to get in to close range and fight it out. Flurry of Blows is their iconic feature, and their big benefit from Martial Arts is not only to be able to fight unarmed well, but to also...

    D&D 5E (2024) Playtest Packet 6: Monk reactions?

I mean, unless we went over to Greyhawk Initiative, which... honestly, I think would be a wild improvement in terms of making the game interesting, but I know I'm probably in the minority there.

    D&D 5E (2024) Playtest Packet 6: Monk reactions?

They're meant to be an unarmed combat master. If I wanted "elusive skirimisher", that's literally the job of the Rogue, who doesn't have to pay any points to just Bonus Action Disengage/Dash/Hide. In fact, they could actually do what you are saying the Monk could do even better, since they don't...

    D&D 5E (2024) Playtest Packet 6: Monk reactions?

Truly the playstyle of a Monk. :p Again, incredibly Monkish to be whacking people with maces. ;) I feel like this speaks to how Weapon Masteries are not where they need to be that it's better for the Monk in these scenarios to just rely on weapons than their class features. It really needs...

    D&D 5E (2024) Playtest 6: Feats

Just give both. Given the stat array currently out there, I don't think there's really much risk in getting a massively overpowered character if one were to get both a Feat and an ASI.

    D&D 5E (2024) Playtest Packet 6: Monk reactions?

Yes, exactly. I go on about it all the time, but the Grit mechanic Matt Mercer used/borrowed for his Gunslinger is a good one, where certain conditions recover a point. And honestly, I feel a bit inspired for whatever reason, so let's work on a few things. In particular, I started remembering...

    D&D 5E (2024) Playtest Packet 6: Monk reactions?

I don't think these ones are necessarily the ones, but I do think a "Spend more to get more" design is something that could be interesting in certain ways. In fact, I think that'd be a cool niche for the Elementalist, where they can boost the output of something for an extra DP.

    D&D 5E (2024) Playtest Packet 6: Monk reactions?

These specific ideas aren't really my bag, but I think this sort of thought-process and design space is way more interesting and should be used more.

    D&D 5E (2024) Playtest Packet 6: Monk reactions?

They are similar, but not quite the same. Either way, things improve, yes. I just think it's better to assure someone they'll always have their gimmick and focus on just letting the monk do more. I think the biggest thing to improve here are stuff like Deflect Missile by allowing people to do it...
