Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

Not only what @Steampunkette says, but also let's be real: both sides of this argument aren't equal and it's quite clear from the fact that even those trying to argue against the inclusion of it in the foreword are not identifying with the side that would say the things it is speaking out are...

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

Yeah, for a moment I thought this was a reference to an internet rule (Like the Rule of Goats, which I referenced before) and "Eric's Grandma" linked to a bunch of stuff on That 70's Show.

I... assume that refers to language, so I'll put it in a spoiler.

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

I don't think the MCU's problem was going woke, it was just the tiredness of their stories. AAA seems to have been rather positively received. But I find that people who focus on "going woke" generally aren't the kind of people who examine a topic closely... if at all.

I dunno... I feel a whole lot of contempt in that one, especially that penultimate sentence. But if you don't see it...

I dunno, they've been leaning towards one side pretty decidedly (even if they make mistakes) and it seems to have worked out for them?

Tone isn't exactly divorced from the frequency of your posting. In fact, it's kind of informed by it.

I deleted them because there was nothing to comment on them? I mean, it's a meaningless hedge and I don't quote things I'm not going to comment on. I just didn't take seriously that your entire statement hinged on a "if they are" when you've been talking about how this is a betrayal of the man...

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

I'm sorry I didn't include your meaningless clarification, which has no holding on what was said previously? Again, if you want to use it as an exit, feel free. But it doesn't really mean anything when you were the guy to first use the words and then get offended when they got shot back at you...

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

I mean, we're at a point where it's too difficult to argue with what is actually written, so just avoiding it and creating something out of thin air to argue against is far easier... just like last time.

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

Eh, high school is a bit late for "analogies" and "comparison". I know we go over that stuff in 6th Grade and I'm sure elementary school probably does a bit with them as well.

I didn't carefully edit any part out, but if that allows you to duck the debate, I suppose you can use that as an excuse!

I think they are pointing out that most of the people trying to defend Gary don't even have an accurate idea of what was said in the book (much like the last thread that dealt with this topic). It is very hard to discuss a topic with someone when they are making up things that aren't there to...

Elon Musk Calls for Wizards of the Coast to "Burn in Hell" Over Making of Original D&D Passages

As frustrating as it is to deal with that, I have had at least one parent ask why I didn't extoll the virtues of Robert E. Lee before. I had to take a breath before responding to that one.
