How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

When it comes to digital assets, the creators location would seem like the most logical place, but again, it would depend on local laws or legal agreements...so I don't know the answer. But I can imagine some situations where the writers are in country A, Illustrators in country B, editors in...

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

I would imagine everything is tracked now-a-days. Or at the very least some agreement or law, would dictate its point of origin.

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

I don't know the specifics, but I would assume the product itself, whether physical or digital, as well as shipping cost (on the physical products) would be subject to the tariffs.

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

I think the good news is that companies like your own produce unique products. So if a customer is really interested in something, they'll be willing to pay extra. With unique products, customers will not "substitute" a game they like for one they are not enthusiastic about, just because of a...

How Will The New Tariffs Affect TTRPG Prices?

Most EU companies will pass the cost off to the consumer. Companies within controlled economies (like China) will eat the additional costs caused by the tariffs, imo.

D&D General Do you play in person or online?

Online. We were playing in person, then switched to online during COVID. It took a couple of the guys about an hour to get to the GM's house, so online play is much more convenient for them, and allows us to have more play time.

Project Sigil 90% Of D&D’s Project Sigil Team Laid Off

Uh oh, someone mentioned GG. I think the D&D community needs it's own version of the Godwin law. :) ;)

Has Wizards of the Coast Given Up on Sigil?

My guess is that they'll try again in 6 months with an "All AI" team.

D&D General Do you track ammunition?

No, I let the players track their ammunition, and any other consumables. If you can't trust your players to do it, there are deeper issues to deal with.

What are your TTRPG Goals for 2025?

Play more Pathfinder, play less D&D.

D&D General Why did you have to cancel/reschedule your most recent session?

One of the players went to his daughters dance recitals, and two others went on vacation to St. Croix (neither knew about the others plans until they ran into each other at the airport), so I guess "double booked".

D&D General Can a Wish spell move a moon to cause an eclipse?

IMO, a wish should be able to do anything except kill another character. Of course, unintended consequences may result. IMHO, making a wish primarily about being able to cast another spell extremely nerfed it.

Missing players and other players running their PCs

We run the game as long as we have at least 3 of 5 players. Some people are OK with others running their PC, some aren't. If a player doesn't want others to run their character, we just assume that the PC is there but not there. Adjusting the encounters usually isn't an issue.

D&D General Your D&D Party is too big! (Science says scheduling is hard)

Yep, set a time, and play with those who can make it. However, we do set a minimum of 3 out of 5 in order to hold a game. Some players are OK with others running their character while they are away, some aren't. For those who aren't, we assume that their character is in the background...

TTRPG Genres You Just Can't Get Into -and- Tell Me Why I'm Wrong About X Genre I Don't Like

I enjoy just about any TTRPG that allows you to increase in power of over time and acquire neat stuff. My played my first superhero TTRG back in the mid 80's. I don't remember the game's name, but I had a blast with character creation. my PC was an "Incredible hulk" type that I named Bison. I...

D&D 5E (2014) Why Do Higher Levels Get Less Play?

The mechanics have always leaned in favor of the PCs, but at higher levels that power gap is quite noticeable, and being able to easily curb stomp powerful monsters becomes anti-climatic.

Well, I guess the solution is have more high priced items available for purchase.
