Pretty darned perfect. I think there is one mismatch where a player would like it if I delved into higher level play more often, but I just don't do well at those dizzying heights. I'm trying to compensate by offering bonus feats along with my much slower leveling. But ultimately -- everyone...

You should know by now how we operate - we take one word and turn it into an entire sinister, paranoid worldview. Tsk, tsk, rookie mistake.

I would most prefer a handful of very generic classes, with feat chains and spell selection helping to make unique characters. If that's not possible, I then prefer more base classes. My least favorite option is the use of prestige classes. Ick.

Great news, and great job Paizo! Oohh.... I know there are retroclones and D&D lites out there already but none have grabbed me yet ... interesting...

Yep, still running 3.5. I have various Paizo subscriptions to infuse some fresh blood into the game though honestly I have not run a lot of their modules. I have used many bits and pieces, however. I also have been using Dungeon Crawl Classics and old Dungeon Magazines. I'm going to get at...

Can I let you in on a secret? There are times when someone suddenly can't make it, and I cancel the game ... and I'm just relieved. That's probably not a good sign! :eek:

The whole pathfinder situation is very interesting to me because it allows for a couple of different scenarios. I could go "all-Pathfinder" but still use adventures and materials designed for 3.5. I could go "some Pathfinder, some 3.5", blending the games, taking what I liked most from each...

I think 3.5 haste is the only thing I would port back to 3.0 if I were going that way, otherwise very doable!

I do it all the time and find it very satisfying from both the DM's and player's point of view. The only other ends to campaigns - unintentional TPKs or disinterested fizzling out - are pretty unsatisfying.

I believe those days are gone for 4E players. That's the sort of thing one could get by being a D&D Insider subscriber, as I understand it.
