    Non-fantasy RPG suggestions?

I created a intro pdf the last time we used it. DM me if you want a copy.

    Non-fantasy RPG suggestions?

T2k4E isn't complex at all, but the rules are badly laid out. I would suggest War Stories: https://firelockgames.com/collections/war-stories

    RPG master looking for players

I'm a GM whose creds are older than this kid, and I GM for free, ever single week of the year.

    The Entire TTRPG Hobby Post-Mortem

Go online. There are hordes of players looking for a reliable weekly game. I run obscure, even OOP settings mated to obscurer crunchy systems , and have a waiting list, and often spectators.

Replacing the system in L5R: Social Rules

I loathe D&D, but I will give it a look, because d20 to d100 is a simple conversion. Thanks!

Replacing the system in L5R: Social Rules

I have long desired to run a L5R campaign, but the cultural restrictions on PC behavior demand a group that is more mature, and the tendency for court intrigue is something that my players enjoy in only small doses. I believe I have hit on a campaign metaplot that will suit my current group...

    Are Game Lines Smaller Today?

    A very odd porn site.

    Are Game Lines Smaller Today?

While I love WH FRPG, I hate the way publishers keep re-releasing the same adventures that came out in the early 90s. C-7 is finally breaking out of that mold.

    Are Game Lines Smaller Today?

City of Lies is the main reason I have longed to run a LR5 campaign. I bought it just as a city supp, but it is so much more. Sadly, I've never gotten the right group together.

    Are Game Lines Smaller Today?

Algae produce far more oxygen than trees. Far more trees are harvested for TP than books, and far more are burned for slash & grow farming than cut for TP. But I only buy pdfs. Not for the planet, but because its so much more convenient.

    Are Game Lines Smaller Today?

Without adding a thing to the hobby itself. Pdfs render this arguement invalid. Which was good. Which doesn't explain the torrent of 3rd party splatbooks, nor the dearth of innovative adventures. If sheer volume mattered, you would be right. If you apply quality standards, discount the 'more...

    Are Game Lines Smaller Today?

I feel they discourage any significant changes to the actual system, and contribute to the insane power-bloat and 'spell for everything'. Tacking on inexplicable talents and racial abilities instead of changing the combat system from its endless 'death by a thousand cuts'.

    Are Game Lines Smaller Today?

I loathe splatbooks; they are a burden that keeps D&D from becoming more than a bottomless pit of mediocracy. I want the core rules, maybe one rule expansion, and adventures.

    Blood or Spaghetti Sauce?

MP is heavily into combat, and intense combat at that. I've used in zombie/aliens/occult settings It really should be only used in settings of WW1 or later, as the melee side of it is geared to 'only when desperate', but it rocks.

    Blood or Spaghetti Sauce?

Depends on the system. Using Morrow Project 4e, the system makes extra description unnecessary, as the damage results are extremely specific. In other systems I use currently, players are eagerly waiting for their chance 'at bat', so unnecessary verbiage is not welcome except in the most...

    GMs: When Is Enough Enough?

Not that sort of prep. I create what I call a loose-weave campaign: I put PCs in situations, and cover the likeliest outcomes, but stay ready for surprises. As a GM, I generally have no agenda other than to see it play out. Wearing the hat of the villains, I have a clear goal and imposed...

Where’s The Deathstalker RPG? Part 1

They fall into the category of being so bad they have, in some zen manner, become good.

    GMs: When Is Enough Enough?

I choose the setting and the system, and put in plenty of prep work before the campaign starts, so I never have that problem. I have started and realized: this specific player has to go.

You could call them the Brotherhood of Steel.

Tell Me About Your Experiences Joining an Existing Gaming Group/TTRPG Campaign

For the last six years I only game online (and will never game F2F again). I also only GM, and only run campaigns of a year plus in real time. The key in forming, and later bringing in replacements to such a group, is vetting. Online requires fewer table rules as a lot of issues are not present...
