    Worlds of Design: Battle Maneuvers

So, not much of an effort required.

    Worlds of Design: Battle Maneuvers

I believe the opposite. Rules lighten the GM load. I like a crunchy system.

    Worlds of Design: Battle Maneuvers

Heresy!!! ;) Also, my groups have tended to gripe if there wasn't logic behind enemy actions. Of course, bad choices are also logical, but they prefer a consistent enemy. But then, I run low-magic, low-power fantasy settings, so large battles are more descriptive text followed by 'and your...

Man, that's one fumble from a horrible death.

VTT group just played a session in person...should have done a one‑shot of another system or played board games

I'm not sure I would ever want to meet my group in person. We're gamed together for years, and I don't know what they look like, or even their real names. I think it would be jarring to actually meet them. But then again, I was born to master the secret paths of hermitdom.

    WoD renaming, White Wolf returns

I'm pretty happy already. But I agree, you should definitely make your own material.

    WoD renaming, White Wolf returns

    That's old. :)

    WoD renaming, White Wolf returns

So, people should not be paid for their work?

    WoD renaming, White Wolf returns

I wasn't much interested in the setting (except maybe Hunter), but the system mechanics hold promise, I believe. I've often considered a Hunter/Delta Green/Supernatural/Grimm mix with some Tim Powers thrown in, run with the WoD system.

    Worlds of Design: Battle Maneuvers

I've been part of a battalion that rolled out from NDP to full-on invasion in ten minutes. Motivation, leadership, and discipline make all the difference. Sure, a lethargic herd of pudgy legs overseen by lifers falling out in garrison to get participation ribbons is going to be a sad...

    Worlds of Design: Battle Maneuvers

Depends on your TTRPG. It certainly isn't, at my table. And Romans did not take anywhere near that long to form up, unless you are confusing a transition from a Legion on the march assembling with 'forming up'.

    Worlds of Design: Battle Maneuvers

Depends on technology, doctrine, and culture. There are plenty of examples of roman through late medieval forces getting caught unawares by enemy getting in close without being spotted.

    Worlds of Design: Battle Maneuvers

Fix 'em, flank 'em, finish 'em. However, technology, design, and doctrine are the alloy that makes a war machine. What worked for Roman legions does not work for medieval troops, and a guy who read books about Napoleon isn't an authority on anything except books about Napoleon.

I said I never said it in this thread. You, however, are saying it a lot. You a tad obsessive about me. Time to put you on Ignore.

You are the only one in this thread using those terms. And using them repeatedly.

I already answered that. Calm down; you're not doing the book any favors.

    High-quality systemless books [+]

That is an odd book. A lot of random tables, but better than most generic splatbooks.

I made one post. You're the one who's bringing up all the drama. And you might want to actually read the book this time, and Flames of Freedom.

Zweihander Reforged Is Out In PDF On Drivethrurpg

My post in this thread did not suggest that it was a rip-off, or not worth buying. And the fact is, the only changes to the combat mechanics are, as I noted above, just errata and a few tweaks from Flames of Freedom.
