Starfinder Outpaces Pathfinder In Fall 2017!

I have to ask you how you delineate genre simulation from narrativism. As for me, just because a mechanic can also be applied to other genres it doesn't mean it's narrativist. [EDIT] And let me just add: what mechanics it would need to qualify as genre simulation?

Is There Much Age Difference In Your RPGing Group?

Don't think the age spread is bigger than 5 or 6 years, so no.

    Is D&D Your Primary RPG?

No, I am not into gamist design. I rarely play it though I am currently part of a Star Wars Saga Edition campaign.

Self Publishing: What's An Artist Worth?

By the same token, it's possible to reach consensus regarding the contract situation amicably in the case of insufficient clarity. Most artists aren't jerks plus chances are you mentioned on first contact with them what you're intending to use the illustration for.

Self Publishing: What's An Artist Worth?

Depends on who drafted the contract. If it's the artist's standard contract, any ambiguities will probably be ruled in your favor.

The Difficulties Of Running Low Magic Campaigns

And yet Game of Thrones is a raging success, so I have to question your assumption a bit. But then again I might not be the right person to ask - I occasionally have to bite my tongue to not openly mock high magic games, particularly when they are reminiscent of World of Warcraft, which I find...

Starfinder Outpaces Pathfinder In Fall 2017!

I am pretty happy to see Modiphius (and FFG) doing so well with genre simulation RPGs. This is encouraging.

    Is D&D Your Favorite RPG?

No, I think it's a thoroughly mediocre RPG. That said, this is entirely not the fault of the game or its designers. D&D is and always has been a gamist-simulationist RPG (and sadly the already subdued simulationist part is shrinking) and therefore it is, by its very nature, not for me. As far as...

    Rules Light/Rules Heavy Graph

Gotta throw in my lot. GURPS can range from 6 to 10, depending how many rules you choose to use. RIFTS isn't so much complex as it is disorganized. It's no more complex than AD&D 2E. Everything else is a meme, imho. Phoenix Command, however, is a 10. The Warhammer 40K RPGs are by no means more...

How old were you when your first GMed an RPG?

I think I was about 15 or 16. I bought the German DSA/TDE years before but never got to play until I discovered that some of my classmates got it too, so we did get started together.
