And I noted a similarity in Lorelei and Ungar's backgrounds...both orphans :) EDIT: oops...it is Lindrel that is an orphan. But Lorelei has a mysterious origin....almost the same :)

    D&D 5E (2014) EB's Keep on the Borderlands - The Lion's Den

Üngar The dwarf scrunched his nose then leaned in over the map as the others tried to look upon it, staring, his nose almost touching the map as he sniffed all around it. Leaning back, he looked up at Kordo. 'Good in forest, for real, not this forest.' He put his finger exactly where Kordo...

West Frisian ( so Frysk?) via google translator. couple of points here~ I like using north Germanic tongues for dwarves and elves due to their folk lore affinity, though I have used Welsh and Gaelic for elvish before. Also, I freely mixed up the syntax so it probably does not translate well...

    D&D 5E (2014) EB's Keep on the Borderlands - The Lion's Den

Üngar His eyebrow cocked as he peered one glinting eye at the high elf. The dwarf stood back and howled, his chest puffed out. In his bastardized elvish he stammered, excited to speak a better tongue, 'Ik bin de wolfling! bart slayer! elf freon en moardner! ik bin hjir kommen foar...

    D&D 5E (2014) EB's Keep on the Borderlands - The Lion's Den

Üngar The dwarf barged up, plopped the Bronze Lion on one of the corners of the map, and began to speak ' Am..I...' he grimaced. It had been awhile since he used his people voice or spoke any local jargon. 'I am called forth, Üngar' he continued as he thumbed his chest, 'to service you' his...

EarlyBird do you happen to have an Elf name for Ungar regarding how he came by the Bronze Lion in his back story, or I can make one up? ( I would use Curathion since it was Beleg's name in elvish, and an astute Tolkien reader will under stand my plagiarism :) )

    D&D 5E (2014) EB's Keep on the Borderlands - The Lion's Den

Üngar All roads lead to some form of danger. He didn't care for them, roads were where civilized peoples prey upon one another. They exchange pieces of metal, and oddly the ones who have the most pieces of metal seem to be preyed upon the most by those wishing to rob them of the stuff. But...

woohoo i get a roll for gold, always nice! thanks! updated, kept the warhammer ( had forgotten to edit the background :) ), probably good to have a blunt weapon around just in case... on the aside, I really like the retainer thing (Rorik), recently during a huge debate between my RL group...
