    D&D 5E (2014) Coins and weights in D&D - the math doesn't add up!

Wikipedia agrees with you, for sure. The usage of that word throughout my entire social circle, however, does not! :) I will endeavour to use the correct word in all future discourse.

    D&D 5E (2014) 1 Year later: D&D still strong on amazon

Awesome! Welcome to the game, and to ENW!

D&D Movie/TV What would a good D&D movie be like?

Agreed. Dumbledore vs. Voldemort at the end of Order of the Phoenix is pure D&D...and pretty breathtaking, I have to say (especially for Tom, Ithangyou).

D&D Movie/TV What would a good D&D movie be like?

This is a really hard question that I *hope* is keeping early production meetings on the movie going way into the night. Do we smash together a great high-fantasy movie that maybe has a famous D&D villain? Do we keep the D&D-ism's under the surface, as in-jokes to everyone who knows what a magic...

    D&D 5E (2014) 1 Year later: D&D still strong on amazon

What is your beef? Seriously. You can't let a single positive 5E post or thread go by without wagging your finger and dumping on it. Why on earth are you so invested in 5E (and WotC) failing?

They get bought for them, by people who know nothing about, say, Minecraft, except its name.

Unearthed Arcana Crawford On Lots Of Stuff! Release Tempo, Video Games, OGL, Conventions, Unearthed Arcana, 2018, Tia

I think it is. "Nimble" means being responsive, which is impossible if you've planned your line years in advance.

D&D 5E (2014) So what happened at GenCon with relation to 5th edition?

Even to a UK outlander such as myself, those connections are there and indelible, and I'm surprised that WotC pulled back from GenCon so far, so fast. As part of the larger strategy, though, I can see it. PAX is enormous and has way more cross-genre coverage than GenCon, plus there's the...

Mike Mearls on stuff... (Tome Show interview from GenCon)

I finally got around to listening to this. Good questions covering the issues of the day, and frank and informative responses. Mike cuts an impressive form in such interviews.

    Dungeon Raiders: The Wolf's Den

"On your feet, Swift! We're not leaving anyone anywhere..." Rejik grabs the back of Swift's tunic and hauls him upright as he pursues Bartleby.

    Dungeon Raiders: The Wolf's Den

Rejik readies his weapon and follows. "Let's at least make sure it's an enemy before we set it on fire!"

You're always on the look-out for the next ex-Mrs. Mark CMG? :)

    Dungeon Raiders: The Wolf's Den

[OoC: if it's ok, I am assuming that Swift & Bartleby leads the investigation by going carefully towards the door, and if it seems safe to do so, even a bit further] [OOC: No problemo. I just wanted to say something more than "Rejik waits to see what happens..." :) ]

    Dungeon Raiders: The Wolf's Den

Rejik stands with weapon at the ready, prepared to rush to his companions' defense. [OOC: In the meantime, I may as well try a Perception check as well? [roll0] ]

    D&D 5E (2014) Downtime - Forced Conflict

As a player I'd be happy with this as long as the presented conflict didn't try and proscribe how my character reacts. For example, "You're having drinks when <my PC> gets up, claps you on the shoulder, says 'I'll get the next one', and walks out, whistling a tune." That would be a no-no, for...

D&D 5E (2014) Inkarnate - Web Based Fantasy Map Generator

Good looking map. I'm really impressed with this. It certainly has a style all of its own.
