Those later adventures were not that well received, or remembered. The early splats, Deities and Demigods, 3.0 had gotten wobbly, and it would just get worse (epic level handbook).
My directly related house rule: Incapacitated for 1 round after being restored (when I remember).
Somewhat related rules: Be dropped on a crit automatically leads to a failed death save; Potions can be used as a bonus action. I also have restrictions on resting.
They have never said that. They don’t say it here! They say they are making all kinds of great major changes. You can just “seamlessly” use it with the crapier stuff they put out before.
Planescape was an infamously bad seller in the 2e era (will link when I get a chance).
More people are probably buying it now then they did in its entire original run.
So many games are still alive, alive I tell you!
What fills the gamer graveyard is licensed properties. Along with TSR Marvel I would love to see FASA Star Trek return, and not just for nostalgia reasons.
There is no connection between Gygax and the D&D known world (mystara) except it being created for D&D.
The Princess Ark appeared in Dragon years after he split from TSR.
I remember this issue very well. But had no idea that it had a review of the original Civilization! I guess the fact that I would discover that game about a decade later is why.
Still, an even better issue than I remembered!
Obviously the US is not a contender in this fight. But thinking that is the limit of bread in France, is like not knowing the difference between a fougasse and a brioche.
