Honestly, these views are promoted by modern-day fan culture, which promotes nostalgia as a virtue. Hell, if you're a GenXer, your words hold more weight on what the franchise or series should be. At least from what I've seen.

I'm surprised we don't have one yet, though that's no fault of anyone; I take it that this is still a growing community anyways. I guess we'll play this all by ear throughout 2021.
