    D&D 5E (2024) D&D 2024 Player's Handbook Errata

Errata was chill, glad they're doing it. We live in the era of the patch, and I welcome this era for all forms of gaming.

    D&D 5E (2024) Stealth Errata

I wish they just made a Hidden condition.

D&D 5E (2024) WotC Unveils Dragon Delves' Eclectic Art Styles

Looks like the average page length of each adventure is 12-14 pages. Longest I think is 20.

D&D General Transgender Drow are Canon in Forgotten Realms! Woo!

Common Greenwood W. Transfemme Drow defended from bigotry by Lolth-sent demons is a sick character concept.

    D&D 5E (2024) What are your 2024 houserules?

I'm working on a project I'll be publishing them in, but if you want I can transfer them to a google doc and post them. I did two versions; one that was just new masteries, and one that was a rehaul of the weapons system entirely. I think it's like 55(gotta count) weapons, no two the same, and...

D&D General Read aloud text in modules: What are folks opinions about read aloud content?

I love read aloud text in my adventures, and I much prefer my adventures to have it. I appreciate good writing and, if it's not good, I can still catch the vision and make it good myself. I really hate adventures that have very plain descriptors or that have a box of simple keyterms that aren't...

D&D General [rant]The conservatism of D&D fans is exhausting.

The biggest truth here is that WotC SUCKS at capitalizing on things. BG3 passed them by and they missed out on so much. Once the launch date was set, they could have easily created another tie in adventure or supplement on DND Beyond connecting it. They did nothing! And have done nothing since...

D&D General Sandbox style: Rumors say a +1 sword is in a cave nearby. Go get it?

I don't think you understand what I'm saying. I have play all editions of D&D. In every edition, no matter how mechanically significant a +1 sword is, the +1 BORES me. Seeing the "1" BORES me. I am BORED at the very IDEA of adding "+1" to anything. It doesn't matter how significant it is to the...

D&D General Sandbox style: Rumors say a +1 sword is in a cave nearby. Go get it?

It's that I don't understand or recognize the mechanical boon it is in older editions, its just that it bores me. "Ah yes, with this sword I can finally fight like how I could before losing all my levels to Undead level drain." Meh.

    D&D 5E (2024) What are your 2024 houserules?

How have your Concentration Actions been at the table? I kinda' want to steal this.

D&D General Sandbox style: Rumors say a +1 sword is in a cave nearby. Go get it?

I am speaking of my own personal distaste for receiving +1 weapons in any game.

D&D General Sandbox style: Rumors say a +1 sword is in a cave nearby. Go get it?

I can say that I love giving magical weapons stories, but as a player, I hate it when I get a hyped up weapon and its just a +1. Would love for something creative to match the weapon's history as opposed to a mediocre +1 bonus.

    D&D 5E (2024) What are your 2024 houserules?

Holy naughty word there's an upvote/downvote system now?? I have a good number of house rules that I use. Currently, my favorites are I created 12 new weapon masteries, 12 new weapon properties, and completely revamped and expanded the list of weapons in my games. I also created about 20 new conditions...

New R.A. Salvatore Novel, Starring Drizzt's Daughter, Title and Synopsis Revealed

Way of Shadow is crazy. Love seeing 5E subclass and fiction tie together in new works (yes, I know it has before in the past).

D&D 5E (2024) Anyone else dislike the "keyword" style language of 5.24?

I agree with your critique of the language in this post, but I feel this is a nitpick and not worth the amount of emotion being invested in it. Passive voice is a minor sin.

I believe you but would love an example or two.
