It would be REALLY interesting to see the designers try to do this sort of in-depth walk-though with some of the larger official adventures, because one wonders what would happen when they come up against having to discuss the stuff in the book that flat-out makes no sense as written.

If you have Lost Mine of Phandelver (the original version) I would definitely recommend that as a better bet for a new DM and new players.
