    D&D 5E (2024) This Dragon Art Is From The 2024 Player's Handbook

I've spent way too much time looking this thing over because I'm honestly baffled at how odd it is to me... Some fun observations 😃 : Freddie Mercury! (Wife spotted that one) These knights totally look like they're playing guitars to an audience. This building is a good example of what I...

    D&D 5E (2024) This Dragon Art Is From The 2024 Player's Handbook

I can't count the number of times you have incorrectly deduced what I "really mean" when I post. Please stop it.

    D&D 5E (2024) This Dragon Art Is From The 2024 Player's Handbook

My guy... The picture feels unnatural to me. I likened it to the same feeling I get when I see AI art. I attempted to point out a few reasons why I think that is. That's it. You're reading way more into this. I have nothing against AI art. If I thought it was AI generated, I would just say it.

    D&D 5E (2024) This Dragon Art Is From The 2024 Player's Handbook

That overall it gives me the same uneasy vibe as when I look at AI art. That's a hard thing to explain, since it just comes from the gut, so pointing out the blurriness of the "camera", the amount of "noise" (confetti, artificial bush strokes, shiny glinting, etc.), and the out of place...

    D&D 5E (2024) This Dragon Art Is From The 2024 Player's Handbook

I went out of my to specify that I wasn't saying this was AI... everyone can calm down... 🙄

    D&D 5E (2024) This Dragon Art Is From The 2024 Player's Handbook

Everything about the full picture feels "off" to me. The blurry details, the random "noise" in the colors, the humanoids in the foreground that look like they were "pasted" in (especially the kid), the uncannily ugly bunny creature. Certainly gives me the same uneasy feeling whenever I see AI...

    Aphantasia and Role Playing Games

Right?! If it wasn't for PbtA games, I probably would have went my whole life not noticing.

    Aphantasia and Role Playing Games

This is true (friends comment I drive like a robot), but it also means I can't envision the cars around me, so my situational awareness is terrible. Also, even though my eyes are visually still taking in imagery and piping it to my brain, my mind certainly still wonders off... 😣 For me, I...

    Aphantasia and Role Playing Games

For me, I absolutely "hear" thoughts. I think completely in words, not pictures. As for the other senses, I'm good there too. For instance, when I cook, I can imagine what adding more salt would taste like; and when I play guitar, I can imagine what going up an octave would sound like.

    Aphantasia and Role Playing Games

I pretty much went my whole life thinking everyone else was the same way. I even began college as an art major and did pretty good! I only switched over to engineering two years later because I wanted an excuse to take more math classes. Poetry, music (guitar), drawing, and painting, all without...

Critical Role's 'Daggerheart' Open Playtest Starts In March

Yeah, but Spencer Starke is the Lead and judging by interviews like this one the main creative driving force. Not saying in anyway this is a bad thing, but makes sense why it's a "story game" and not "D&D, but better".
