Looking For Games Shops In UK & Ireland

Definitely do. They are really nice people, and they have a nice stock of RPGs now, and are more than happy to order things in for you that they don't have. Also, don't know whether anyone else has mentioned it, but Cambridge have a Forbidden Planet as well, with its obligatory small selection...

    Rethinking Reflex and AC...

The other option is maybe the size bonus to AC is there, but only applies when not in heavy armour...

    Concealment, Cover, Invisible

In theory, concealment can be created by lighting conditions, I believe (at least by 3.5 definitions), and so might be completely out in the open as far as cover's concerned.

    Concealment, Cover, Invisible

Do we even know that Concealment 11 is in 4e? Is that not just something taken from the new DDM rules? If it is just from the Mini rules, since it was in the initial verson of the game, I would suspect it's a minis only thing and not a foresight to how 4e's going to be.

To the Designers: May we please have the DDXP errata?

Well, given that implements can have enhancement and other bonuses, I would imagine it's to let you know which powers these bonuses apply to.

Your choices are Kill, or ... Kill

That and "Sleep does damage", which is actually demonstrably wrong. You see, the way I read the quoted post from hong is that he's being sarcastic and dry, which, to anyone who's read enough threads he's commented on, is what most of his posts on the 4e forum have involved. Nothing aggressive...

Jason Bulmahn Speaks about DDXP(His take on the system)

Actually, the bunch to which he is referring is talking about save rolls, which, in a party of 6, over your 5 round combat (although it seems combats are likely to be nearer 10 rounds in duration) is closer to 30 rolls than 5. Surely that's approaching a lot of rolls?

If they weren't in the phb...

I'm like Jhaelen. I voted none of the above, but nothing to do with the races themselves. I plan on running it as PHB only, so if they weren't in the PHB they wouldn't be an option.

    Kobold Skirmisher

I imagine a lot, if not most, traps will be multi-target. Also, it seems there are numerous ways of shifting enemies about, judging by those DnD Experience characters. Also, it fits in with the kobold flavour.

D&D 4E How do death and dying really work in 4e?

I suspect that what was being asked is whether that is indeed how it works in 4e, and whether it uses a healing surge. Those who have been in a DnD Experience group with someone who went unconscious would presumably know. After all, the mechanics you're quoting there are the "This is how to try...

    Kobold Skirmisher

Ignoring the sarcastic tone... From the way it's been described, traps are designed to be very much a part of combat in 4e. It's all part of the dynamic encounter model.

    Kobold Skirmisher

It's the ability mentioned further down the stat block which gives the +1 per ally...

    Kobold Skirmisher

You really don't want to be surrounded by them either, do you? 8 kobolds, each attacking at +13 and doing 1d8 + 1d6? That's gotta hurt no matter how many hit points you have!

    Healing Surge: My theory

Having a number of Healing Surges per day, which can be triggered by things such as Second Winds would go a long way to explaining what actually happens in 4e when you roll a 20 on your dying check.

    Class Granularity

I voted high, because I am more on board with systems that have loads of classes, where I can ignore the ones I'm not interested in, than systems with three classes. If I'm being honest, however, I'd vote for middling granularity - about DnD at release level of granularity. Not too many, not too...

    D&D 4E Dungeons of Dread Preview 1 - 4e stuff!

It's actually two-bladed sword, rather than two handed. The interesting thing being that while I'm sure many people will decry the continued existence of double weapons, it seems attacking with both ends in one round isn't going to be happening as often.

Keep on Shadowfell pre gen PC's

Too few? No, 5 is too many. I only have 2 players, so with five you're giving them far too much choice, and even giving me a choice as to the NPC that follows them around (unless, that is, it turns out that the adventure is playable with 2 characters). Of course, there is a touch of sarcasm in...

It Starts (Splatbooks - Martial Power in October)

Give Barbarian's been stated as being of the same source as Druid (which I can't see being Martial) and Swordmage being Martial would cause riotous complaints that either "Martial characters shouldn't use magic" or "It's called SwordMAGE, where're all the magical abilities" depending on which...

    The Vorpal blade

I prefer the Munchkin (the card game) version of Vorpal - it's more powerful vs creatures whose names begin with J. You can get that from the poem at least as much as the beheading quality, and is less overpowering!
