D&D 5E (2014) Help playtest my fantasy stat draft!

A magic scimitar for my druid build with? Yes please. It will affect things marginally (so he can actually hit things). I'll edit the post above.

Sure, I can move things around if it changes my mind

D&D 5E (2014) Help playtest my fantasy stat draft!

    I think I'll make this character a Wood Elf Druid (Circle of the Moon) S 8 7 (-1 to 3 stats) D 8 12 (Wld) 11 (-1 to one stat) 13 (Wood Elf) 14 (4th level ASI) C 12 14 (+2 Con) I 14 13 (-1 to 3 stats) 14 (4th level ASI) W 15 16 (Wood Elf) Ch 13 12 (-1 to 3 stats) Tough Feat, one random rare magic...

The player gets to decide which stats to decrease right?

D&D 5E (2014) Help playtest my fantasy stat draft!

Sorry @TwoSix I got side tracked yesterday afternoon, then went out for supper and forgot all about this. I'll take CHA 13 if it is not too late.

D&D 5E (2014) Help playtest my fantasy stat draft!

I'm going to try something unconventional (if this whole draft isn't unconventional enough). Taking a page from my son's strategy, I'll take Tough, +2 Con, -1 to 3 different stats Since he discovered the Tough feat, he never has a character without it.

D&D 5E (2014) Help playtest my fantasy stat draft!

I'm leaning toward a druid, which is weird cuz I don't like playing casters.

D&D 5E (2014) Help playtest my fantasy stat draft!

Sorry @TwoSix , I was on the road for most of the day yesterday and the one hour I was at my desk I <gasp> actually did work. I'm still in, please.

D&D 5E (2014) Playing through a Sample Stat Draft (COMPLETED!)

Yes please. My group is also 7 players and I am interested to see how this plays out. Our current campaign should wrap soon-ish (scheduling 8 adults, mostly parents can delay things). I'm interested in character generation ideas that might balanced, yet unique results. Edit: I'm in the Atlantic...

@TwoSix Do you still need test subjects?

D&D 5E (2014) DMs which books do allow players to use

I voted "Anything," however that means that anything not in PHB, Volo's, Mord's or Tasha's should be discussed with me first. I am unlikely to allow anything from other settings, but I am also willing to work with players to make a concept work.

    D&D General Inherently Evil?

True enough. I was trying to illustrate that the animal world is brutal, but that doesn't mean evil. It might look evil if you insist on putting human sensibilities on it.

    D&D General Inherently Evil?

Not to derail the thread, but the 'brutal' comment is key I think. I love dogs. I think wolves are beautiful majestic animals. I few months ago I watched a documentary about arctic wolves. At one point a rogue/lone wolf was trespassing on the packs' territory. He avoided them for a bit, but they...

D&D 5E (2014) What is Your Favorite WotC 5E Setting Book, and Why?

I voted for Van Richten's Guide to Ravenloft. I recently purchased the Beadle & Grimm's boxed set and have been devouring it in advance of a little Hallowe'en sidequest. While I may never run a long campaign there, I can certainly see myself getting a lot of use out of it. I do own Icewind...

D&D General How many of your 5E D&D books have you used?

TL/DR Going forward I'm only going to buy adventures if I'm going to run them or I can use it immediately as a source book. Though the anthologies of short adventures are tempting. I want some crunch with my lore - that is, if I'm going to read about ancestries, monsters or creatures, I need...

D&D 5E (2014) Where to next? (post LMOP)

Does it have to be a purchased adventure? Its been years since I've run it, but if I remember correctly LMoP has a lot of hooks for your own content. There's a found 'treasure map' in the mines. What's the Red Wizard after? Maybe there are ancient ruins that need exploring (and have more...
