Both Kobold Press and EN Publishing explicitly mention their compatibility with 5e. But those two versions are discussed in the same forum.

    Daggerheart General Thread [+]

There seems to be a lot of demand for the game. I received an email from Darrington Press announcing that it was back in stock in the EU store. When I checked 12 minutes later, it was already sold out...

Probably, when the book was sent to the printer, Perkins had not yet announced his retirement.

Pirate Borg: Buried in the Bahamas

The parrot won't dive, but he'll circle close to the water, trying to release the crab piece when a shark is approaching. Then, if able, he'll fly to get another one.

    Dragonlance DRIVETHRUFICTION QUESTION

Yeah, I don't think anyone realized that you are Richard A. Knaak. I certainly didn't :)

Pirate Borg: Buried in the Bahamas

Since I presume that the parrot can't functionally dive into the water, he'll keep picking up crab pieces and throwing them in the water to keep the shark away while someone else dives.

D&D 5E (2024) So what's going on with the October book?

Honestly, I find Dragon Heist both terrible and great. The adventure itself, IMHO, is terrible. Linear, stupid and boring. I would never ran it. The book, however, is fillet to the brim with ideas, characters, locations and maps. Using the remix from The Alexandrian and adding plenty of my own...

Seems like a reasonable and workable interpretation.

D&D 5E (2024) Is There A New Sheriff in Town?

If they only have a ranking for each store, how do they collate the info across the the US? Or do they get numbers from the stores but just aggregate them in a ranking?

    Dragonbane general thread

Fair enough. I was trying to understand the rules and also to discuss them. I''m so far liking Dragonbane a lot, but I find the rules to be a bit scattered in the manual.

Then you agree that it is actually possible to shift rest in the wilderness.

I'm not compiling a form, I'm trying to have a fluid conversation. As I clarified, the rules appear to be somewhat contradictory on this point.

    Dragonbane general thread

K Yes, that's the point I was trying to make. The rules on p. 103 appear to contradict the stipulation that you need a safe place to get a shift rest. If you manage the bushcraft roll, the rules there simply that you get the benefit of a shift rest.

    Dragonbane general thread

No, the games I mention are grittier still because you don't recover except in safe places.
  18. Nikosandros

    Dragonbane general thread

Yes, I thought that, like in other games, you could sleep in "uncomfortable" conditions without getting the benefits of a full rest (which is basically a full recovery) but also without accruing the penalties for lack of sleep.

    Dragonbane general thread

But is it not possible to sleep and not get a shift rest? I liked the idea of only getting a shift rest in a safe place, but maybe that would be too harsh even for Dragonbane.
