No, there two different scores. One is the number against which you make a power check, the other is number of points that you have to use your powers. They are diffent.

Correct. Spells and items in the database and in the character builder will be updated to the 2024 version. If you have compendium access to the 2014 books, you can read the old text there.

Hallucinatory terrain in 5e it is not a great spell, but in AD&D? It's very powerful. I've seen it used a lot.

That's also in AD&D 1e. You gain 1,000 XPs.

E Rolemaster has XPs for hits taken or delivered, for critical inflicted and for killing opponents.

I've had "official" clarification. If you want to preserve 2014 spells and magic items, better start copying them now, because after the "upgrade" you'll have to write them from scratch (possibly by "retro" modifying the new version). Quite awful.

Yeah, I don't know the reasons either, but it does suck. I'm not even clear if we should start making home-brewed copies of all spells and items now (gasp!) or just the two spells and the net that are going to be archived. Not to mention the so-called "general feature manager". In development...

Physical media is great. What is, IMO, also great is to be able to get PDF and/or epub version of the books I use and to have off-line tools that have a downloadable install file.

It was a joke. More seriously, partial hexes require specific rulings. Nothing dramatic, of course, but something that has to be accounted for. EDIT: I've dealt with plenty of partial hexes in GURPS, HERO and wargames :)

You just need to posit a setting in which buildings use 60-degrees angles, instead of right ones.
