I loved every aspect of that adventure except the conclusion (Tiamat) which just seemed a bit generic compared to the rest of it.

I enjoyed the Slave Lords series in AD&D, but my memories from 40 years ago are wearing thin. It may be nostalgia rather than it actually being a good series.

The Red Hand of Doom was one of the best modules ever. 3e if I remember rightly. 4e's Tomb of Horrors was also brilliant.

I want a game with an insane amount of options that can interact in very wonky ways. Half the fun of roleplaying for me is when unexpected things happen, or everything goes sideways.

In one of my campaigns AD&D) there was a dwarf fighter with 6 dexterity. The scrapes he got into were hilarious. Top one was when he was climbing a the outside of a building naked with a shortsword between his teeth to try and escape a bunch of ghouls below him. He slipped and fell backwards...

I did wonder how they would achieve compatibility, but I didn't think they would just copy the rules and just change some of the names. Sure the feats are different, but it's still just D&D with a different selection of options.

The Tomb of Annihilation is excellent. You could easily plug in the lost city of Omu and the actual Tomb without much hassle on an unexplored part of the island. A rising evil that must be defeated.
