I’d like to agree, but I’m very busy and you failed to persuade me in your first paragraph. I can only assume that you’re and wrong as a very wrong thing and commence a bitter feud which I will pursue in unrelated threads for the next few years.

When you have to read too many Dickinson poems in short order, just sing them. The Yellow Rose of Texas, the Gilligan’s Island theme, Stairway to Heaven, whatever’s handy. The poems will still be themselves but you’ll be snickering at her expense and that’ll get you through.

In fairness, it’s been a growing problem for me since the ‘90s.
