Yes. I tried working out a comparable solution for the Sorcerer class but it was sub-optimal. So I think it would work out better with the Wizard class. Perhaps it could require a Feat??? :)

An option would be to play around with the news spells that Wizards gain at each level. You could build pre-selected lists of spells to be learned that followed some type of themic pattern, and give the Wizard character the equivalent to spell school bonuses with those spells. I.e. a Wizard...

Needs a good description to bring it to life, so to speak. But why does it get a Con bonus to hit points when it has no Con? I think it also gets one more feat at 21 HD. Shouldn't the damage bonus from Str be +12, since it has more than one attack? Some of those ability scores are insanely high...

So why don't you just use the Psion (Kineticist or Psychoportation) class from the Psionics Handbook? I believe it's out in SRD form on the web.
