New Epic Level Creature: The Glacial Ooze.

The only thing I can think to add is that when the ooze is on a glacier and motionless I would think it would be nearly invisibile, much like a gelatinous cube. Otherwise it would be pretty hard to miss and fairly easy to avoid. So it would normally need surprise to be a successful predator.

    Ahzirih (Psionic)

I'm thinking damage is 2d8+3 for melee, since it has other attack forms. So the 1d4 fire damage from the slam is in addition to the aura of burning air? The psionic resonance ability in a 60 ft. cone is just plain nasty... are other Ahzirih immune to this?

    Alfar

Nasty creature! I couldn't see anything intrinsically wrong with the Alfar, although it's a little wierd seeing a Dwarven relative with a high Charisma stat. Alternatively you could lower the Cha, then give a racial bonus to the nightmarish gaze and the Bluff skill.

    Wandering Eye

Thanks for the catches. I started off as a different monster type, then switched to construct. So I mucked up and didn't make all the requisite changes. Sorry, my bad. But I do think the flat-footed AC is 10+8+2=20. :)

    Dismemberites

At least at 3.5, Undead BaB is 1/2 the HD. So primary attack would be +6+5 = +11. The other attacks would be 5 less than that, since Weapon Finesse applies to all. An undead should still get a Fort save, even though it has no Con. I believe it's HD/3. I think a 12 HD monster should get 5...

    Wandering Eye

Kind of a dorky construct idea... Wandering Eye Fine Construct Hit Dice: 9d8 (40 hp) Initiative: +11 Speed: fly 40 ft. (perfect) Armor Class: 26 (size +8, Dex +7, natural +2), touch 25, flat-footed 20 Base Attack/Grapple: +6/- Attack: - Full Attack: - Special Attacks: Cone of cold Special...

    Bale Warder

Done! Thank you. Perry Rhodan... now there's a name I haven't heard in a long, long time. :)

    Flayed Zombie custom template

Nasty little template -- great for very evil campaigns. The only issue I spotted is the damage for death throes based on size category. It's unclear what exactly this means. Is it 1d3 for the smallest category, then +1d3 each size larger? Perhaps a table would be more instructive? As was...

    Sea monkeys. Why not?

    I think 15 ft. = 3 squares.

    Help me develop a mythology

Something I see happening a lot in D&D Campaign Worlds is a style of a "unified mythology", where everybody is under the same set of gods and the only cultural differences are which of those gods are worshipped. In the real world mythologies, however, every society had their own pantheon...

    Netbook projects

There always seems to be a few dyed-in-the-wool OD&D types around who have probably spent years patching the game to death, and thereby now believe the game is God's gift to the masses. ;) Personally I think that whatever system floats your boat is good enough. I'm not sure how many people...

    New critter

For a 4 HD monster, base saves are either 4/3 = +1, or 4/2 + 2 = +4. I think undead have high Will saves, but I could be wrong. If so, however, that'd be: Fort +1, Ref +4, Will +5. With a 1 Int, it should have 4+3 = 7 skill points. Perhaps Listen +4, Move Silently +4, and Spot +4. Also needs a...

    Okay, 'tis updated.

Help Me With My Harpy Template!

It's a nice idea. The one problem I see is that most animals have an intelligence of 2, whereas a Harpy is 7. Probably most Beasts have a modest Int as well, although I haven't checked them all. But you'd have to worry about the case where a beast has a relatively high Int, so you probably...

    Night Sprite

Thanks for the feedback Trentonjoe. They're so hard to hit anyway, being so miniscule, that I'm not sure AoO would matter too much. They depend heavily on surprise for their impact, so I wouldn't think AoO would apply in a sneak attack. But an interesting take. :)

    Dinokin

Nope, but a couple of ideas spring to mind: A combination giant/triceratops: the arms and trunk are giant humanoid, the head, legs, and tail are triceratops. Mild-mannered vegetarian with tough hide, heavy armor about the head, and horns. Combo pterodactyl/kobold: arms replaced by big...

Yes, some of the netbooks are supposedly doing 3.5 conversions, but it's been a long time coming unfortunately. One of these days... :)
