    D&D 4E 4e Srd

At least a month?!? I distinctly recall that fact that 3rd edition publishers will still operating under the gentleman's agreement for years after 3rd edition was released before the official SRD was out.

    D&D 4E D&D 4E Presentation videos

If the code is unique I'm anticipating less than 30 days before someone creates a valid code generator after backward engineering the algorithm.

How would you do 3.5e in 160 pages?

I was going to say the 1-12, but pretty much the same gist. Basically you end up then with a set of books of: basic book, superhero book, epic book

Dark Quest Games welcomes David Garrett and Amalara Games to the fold. Amalara Games is known for its Dungeon Dive product line and Land of the Crane, a True20 setting that appeared in Green Ronin's True20 Worlds of Adventure supplement. Dark Quest Games is pleased to have these kindred souls...

Is it gauche to announce someone else's products?

[CONTEST] Win a book for your roleplaying hoard! (3/12-3/18)

And there may be a few copies of Temporality along as prizes as well. After all what better use for time travel than to hop back in time right after a known hero has killed a great dragon... then for you to take down the weakened hero and grab the treasure all for yourself. I know, it was a...

    Wizards Digital Initiative Moving Forward

It is a director position. They get to claim experience based on what the actual developers do, not have to do it themselves. At least thats what I've always seen other tech managers do.

Improbabilities of party make-up (an issue of race)

Yes, word of advice for starting adventurers... never pick your party members and chose to take on a job after you have imbibed too much alcohol. :)

    Audio Commentary on PDFs

Yes, I'm always up for trying different methods. Like Duncan Felden's old ads for Dark Quest and EN Publishing products.

    Audio Commentary on PDFs

Fraser Ronald of Sword's Edge Publishing started doing them back in June I believe, which became the start of his Accidental Survivor's Podcast based on results. It is a great tool for those that want to understand how a designer went about creating their product, perhaps so that you yourself...

[Dark Quest Games] DQG and Enkwell Press release Treasure Hoards

Treasure. This word is one of the most recognized amongst adventurers. Besides gaining the experience to hone a character’s chosen career path, that individual requires appropriate treasures to complement his expanding powers. Exactly what treasure a GM can give to his players is part of what...

So when should a publisher ditch d20 and develop their own system?

Arrogance is sometimes a required component of an innovative designer.

So when should a publisher ditch d20 and develop their own system?

To some extent that is the right reason. Because if you didn't like the system, you shouldn't be designing in it. Not that you had to love it. But by hating it outright you didn't take the time to understand it fully enough to recognize the peices that were tied together and needed...

So when should a publisher ditch d20 and develop their own system?

And yet it might work quite well under True20.
