    Confusion

While encountering the fruit (collecting it) the elf can use it once. Cause in D&D sometimes fruit can be alive and might try to kill you.

I've reversed my stance on dragonborn and tieflings

Evil will never ever be cool. If you think evil is cool then you are dumb. :)

    Wilderlands Of High Fantasy

Wilderlands is the best setting I have ever seen. Not so detailed that you can't add anything but not so open ended that you are doing too much work. It is also flavored in such a way that you can make it fit your style of fantasy. From Sword and Sandal to WFRP style darkness... Head over...

Rich Baker confirms new look of Gnomes

I think that the gnome generally belongs in the MM. If you consider that White Plume Mountain is all about an insane gnome, the "D&D" gnome does not have a track record of being a "good" race.

    How do you pronounce Drow?

I voted other: drooo. Since the w is a double u, I prefer the long U sound, this of course makes the o silent.

The Tielfling and The Gnome: On the Set of 4th edition

The hostility here is not in the words of the joke but towards the straight man. The obvious answer makes the person you ask look the lesser. Thats why its funny. Hostility to the common conventions of language. Breaking the conventions by using the rules creates the surprise that causes...

The Tielfling and The Gnome: On the Set of 4th edition

Comedy, by its very nature, is rooted in hostility. Find me a joke, a funny situation, or humor that is not. Can't be done.

I like it when my PC dies! Share your coolest death!

This thread is for people to brag about how their character's may have gone out. Was it the Paladin that held off a dozen hobgoblins while the rest of the party escaped? Were you the guy that got bull-rushed off a cliff? Was he the last hold out in a TPK? I once read a story about a guy who...

Your preference for how "fragile" 1st-level character should be

You my friend were made for Warhammer.

Your preference for how "fragile" 1st-level character should be

I prefer tough 1st level characters if that means that an NPC expert with all 10s for stats and average hit points has to get lucky to kill a 1st level barbarian with max hp and 18 con. I don't give extra levels or hit points, but I don't like them to be pushovers. But I also dig camapigns...

    D&D 4E 4E Psionics

First off- I have never had a great love for Psionics. I think the source of power is a good one. However I really dislike that all the major mind control stuff is going to Psionics. Thats lame. Here's why: There are numerous stories of wizards and witches called "ENCHANTERS" whose whole...

Steven Erikson: "Memories of Ice"<A critique, and a thread on style and criticism>

Same here. I would never have started a thread today the way I started this one. I actually completed Gardens of the Moon. I thought it was pretty good. I completely saw how it was a very D&D like book. The thing that threw me off was the final battle at the end in the city- it seemed to...
