How about automatic miss on a natural 1, with no auto-damage? Seems fair and easy enough. I've used rules like that forever.

The only thing that bothered me personally was the restriction on Google Hangouts or other real-time virtual tabletop options. If I am true to their restriction, then I cannot participate (it's too hard to coordinate in-person schedules right now). I suppose they want a "pure" tabletop...

My complaint was with one specific restriction that makes no sense. You are right that it is unenforceable, but I would like to know the rationale. Tone down your pretentious attitude, will ya?

It's really stupid. Now, according to this FAQ, my friends cannot gather and do the playtest. Google Hangout was the only way it was going to happen, since we are all 1000 miles apart. Of course groups can SAY players were all in the same room. Maybe they should have required playtesters to don...

What on earth are they thinking? How can they enforce that? I mean, if I play with some webcams and headsets, what's the darned :hmm:difference?

How interesting that their FAQ states we cannot run our playtest games on Google Hangout. I don't understand that! My friends are scattered all over the country, so that was the only way I was going to get them together. It's ironic too, since Mike Mearls said he's done much playtesting of DND...

I'll add that I found an IOS app called simply "index cards" which I find useful to organize my plot points and NPC stats. It's neat, though not RPG specific at all.

I know this site had a list of Iphone/IPAD apps for GMs in various RPG systems. Where is the link to that list? Has it been updated? Is there another site or blog that tracks that stuff?
