Sublime stuff! I really loved the way the Force was represented in this arc. Also: they made droids feel terrifying. The show has already topped the high water mark set by season 1 and we still have 3 episodes left. This will be me waiting for next week:

I'm excited for this weeks arc as it's written by Dan Gilroy who wrote and directed the film Nightcrawler which is one of my favourite movies of the past couple of decades.

Played another session of Wild Beyond the Witchlight, in which we’ve converted our characters over to the new rules. It was a shorter session as we started late. In the end we finished on a cliffhanger where we’re about to fight the first Hag. I’m a sucker for a good pre-boss fight cliffhanger...

As to the topic at hand, I’m pretty excited for most of the opening slate of releases. It’s interesting to see them using a similar formula to the 2014 product kick-off, but with a few tweaks. Dragon adventures: instead of a dragon themed adventure path/campaign it’s a dragon themed adventure...

I was just in the middle of writing something similar... I think that the popularity of TTRPGs would slowly decline without the brand name to bring in new people to the hobby. Also, without WotC around for people to hate, the scene would turn on each other as the fans of each game would fight...

I liked the spy-thriller vibes of this week's arc. It may have been the slowest burn so far, but I thought the pay-off was worth it. Plenty of great writing on offer as usual.

I played with a friend overseas on Sunday, it was the first group I've played in where everyone else is live and I'm the only one zooming in. The DM is a childhood friend of mine, and is running a game using BECMI (or maybe a modern system based on it, I'm not 100% sure) It was heaps of fun...

The real question is whether to play the game in Kurosawa mode or not.

Superb start. Is it true we're getting another 3 episodes again next week? Edit: Really enjoyed the Dedra/Cyrill/Cyrill's mum scenes.

Yeah, I did think of him overall, it was more the modern films where I'd struggle, I'd have to compare rotten tomatoes. Prequels felt like a career curse to some degree.
