Dungeons & Dragons Has Done Away With the Adventuring Day

Huzzah! For the strong to be free to play as they see fit, we must remove any and all restraints on the DM, including suggestions or information telling them how the game works. This may filter out the weak from our hobby, but this is also to be celebrated. For D&D to remain pure and strong...

Dungeons & Dragons Has Done Away With the Adventuring Day

It's an improvement because books can't teach people how to DM so they're saving text space. A true DM learns by doing. A few TPKs are a small price to pay to enpower the DM!

D&D 5E (2024) Do players really want balance?

I could offer ways and methods to overcome those barriers but it all boils down to "are you welling to put in the work necessary to play 2E?" (Granted, it will take some work) I don't want to spend the next twenty post giving suggestions if you don't want them. Edit: looks like people are...

What's the issue then? If 2E truly is preferable to 5E, then it should be no problem to convince people to switch to it! If 2E is truly your system, then switching groups should be but a small price to pay!

Which is why I advocate for D&D to be run as an oligarchy where a few select elite shape the game for the masses.
