How should it be written? How about... The book is nothing compared to the judgment of an empowered Dungeon Master. Don't let the rules stand between you and the game! You are the one in control.

Isn't D&D full of kludge? Like adding story telling to dungeon crawling? Or adding tactical options to long term resource management? Or adding economics to adventuring? Or adding anime to swords and socery?

Well the 2024 rules have allowed the wand of cure light wounds to return, albeit in some lesser form. But those limitations can be overcome by buying a dozen of them...

I am for anything that causes more chaos and conflict in the D&D community. It will force us to evolve faster to die trying.

I recommend banning a hundred spells from PC use! For ease of use, just ban all 7th, 8th, and 9th level spells.
