    D&D 5E (2024) Sage Advice Compendium Updated To 2024

I guess I have come to the conclusion that a lot of rules should mostly get out of the way. Like I said in another post, I don't think stealth and hiding rules are that important. Make them a check adjudicated by the DM - good for me (and my group for the past 30 years).

    D&D 5E (2024) Sage Advice Compendium Updated To 2024

That depends what you mean by "normal monster creation rules." I 100% think I can design a non-legendary monster with the monster creation rules that can be a threatening, and most likely interesting, "solo" monster.* Whether or not WotC has done that is debatable and whether you consider my...

D&D 5E (2024) What upcoming WotC D&D product are you excited about?

Sure, my point is that if something interest you can be largely a factor of you and not XYZ company.

    D&D 5E (2024) Sage Advice Compendium Updated To 2024

IDK. As I have gotten older I prefer some rules to be vague and more like guidelines or suggestions then rules. For example, I don't really think I need much stealth and hiding rules. We just go with what is common sense to us, and it has worked for decades through multiple editions! Reminds me...

D&D 5E (2024) What upcoming WotC D&D product are you excited about?

How do you figure? Other people could find the same offerings as an almost unbearable bounty. Isn't whether or not something interest up to our interest? Is not really on a company to cater to any specific interest, but a large group of interest. Seems to me that you not liking something is at...

D&D 5E (2024) What upcoming WotC D&D product are you excited about?

IDK, I think I will agree to disagree: 3e: The start of the WotC era. Eberron was pretty interesting / innovative. Not my preferred style of D&D, but interesting and better thought out than a lot of 2e settings 3.5 draconomicon is the gold standard for TTRPG dragon books IMO Standardizing...

Pathfinder to Release Lost Omens: Draconic Codex in December

I did notice the horned dragon looked a lot like the green, but I was think about the 4e green and completely forgot the PF green had the same look! I am not really a fan of the changes they made to it (the strange scales), but it is one of the better / best IMO in the Monster Core. Its funny...

Nah, you can design a solo monster without LA that can threaten a party. It is just the LA typically make it more interesting.

D&D 5E (2014) Hypothetical: WotC goes under and Hasbro vaults D&D. Now What?

Nothing much would happen to my games. For D&D: I think it would be a bad thing. It would splinter and sink. Without one big market leader casual players would not jump in and the game would slowly wither. Not sure if it would die, but it would end up in a sorry place.

Pathfinder to Release Lost Omens: Draconic Codex in December

That may be the case, but what about CC and ORC?

Pathfinder to Release Lost Omens: Draconic Codex in December

Is there a particular reason they can't use them in the ORC license? They are still in the OGL and, I believe, in CC now too. I am not familiar with how ORC works, but I would assume Paizo could use things that have alternate open licenses. I know I can use the OGL and CC versions of D&D in one...

    D&D 5E (2024) Sage Advice Compendium Updated To 2024

Thanks. This really seems more complex and detailed than needed to me, but I haven't given it much thought (not really an issue at my table). Makes me wonder how Shadowdark handles stealth and hiding. EDIT: Here are the Shadowdark rules. They work for me I think.

GOD RULES: Player's Guide (5e) Kickstarter Pre-Launch Page

That is fine. However, that is a completely different justification than the one you gave in your previous post. I was simply responding to the previous justification, which I believed was based on a false premise.
