What Kind of D&D Character Would You Be?

Chaotic Neutral Human Sorcerer (2nd Level) Strength- 11 Dexterity- 12 Constitution- 11 Intelligence- 15 Wisdom- 14 Charisma- 13 No surprises. I can agree with the race, class, and ability scores all around, and, based on the interpretation as given by the quiz, I can see where chaotic neutral...

So which Desert of Desolation Monster isn't in the Monster Manual I?

I think Shadar-kai fit too well into the new cosmology to write them out. Assuming the elemental isn't considered, I would guess the naga. edit - Shadar-kai were apparently mentioned in a recent playtest , also.

    Let Warlord be Warlord

    General? Khan? Warchief? Matterhorn? Centurion?

    Let Warlord be Warlord

As I posted in the poll thread, I don't personally have any problem with the name "Warlord." I do think it's confusing to have two "Warlo-"s. Otherwise I totally agree.

How you imagine physical features of OTHER player characters

I try to imagine characters as closely as I can to how their players imagine them. This usually means option 2, but if it's a new/lazy/uninterested player then I probably have to settle for option 1. I'm lucky enough to have gamed with a few very talented artists, so I definitely enjoy option 5...

D&D 4E What 4E class do you most want to try out?

Warlord, probably with some arcane spellcasting capabilities like the one from whatever playtest. Further down the line, I'm looking forward to playing the swordmage class.

    Is stealing PC's toys taboo?

If this sort of thing occurred frequently in a given campaign, yes, I would probably want to have a talk with the DM about it, too. In the case you described, though, none of the DM's actions seemed at all unreasonable. Really, though, these things tend to vary greatly from group to group. I'm...

What format do you prefer for the gaming material you use?

I would like to see all of the material presented in both formats, but, assuming I can't have both, I'll take my magazines in electronic format. Even if I had the space to conveniently store all of my Dragon issues in one place, finding the article I'm looking for would still be much easier if...

    No Hit Dice!? WHAT!?

Why should WotC be expected to cater to this group? I am really confused by this assumption, and I think it's quite obvious that the issue has nothing to do with hit dice.

Way to get girls (?!): the new column for the new Dragon.

I agree entirely. If you dislike the article, fine, but I find it hard to believe that people dislike it for some of the reasons given here. I'm fine with the contractions and with the article being, in essence, a blog entry. I enjoyed reading it, it relates to D&D, and, as others have pointed...

D&D 4E The 4E warlock -- love at first glimpse

I got that vibe as well, and I love it. Not that those classes couldn't stand on their own in 3.5. (Two of them could. :) ) Any speculation on the three types of patrons? edit - Just saw the other *much larger* thread :uhoh: Guess there has been quite a bit of speculation already.

Does The New Edition Raise Your Houserulling Interest?

I'm going to be doing a lot more house ruling until 4e comes around, certainly, but when the new books come out, it's going to be RAW + implied setting for as long as it takes for me to learn and adapt to the new system.

Way to get girls (?!): the new column for the new Dragon.

I really enjoyed reading that. It's not the kind of article I would expect to find in Dragon, but I could see myself reading this feature for as long as Shelly continues to write it.

So, I bet that the d12 is getting kicked to the curb...

I was going to post to the same thing. Unfortunately, people love their dice, and I don't think we're going to see this sacred cow die in 4e, as wonderful a simplification as it would be. Just imagine only having to bring two dice to the game to play!

D&D 4E Simple Poll - How do you feel about 4E Right Now?

Thumbs unwaveringly skyward. There's still time for my opinion to change, but I have seen very little at this point that I dislike.
