I would say Tiefling. Fire resistance is too conditional and Infernal Wrath is no Elven Accuracy. Personally, I like the Half-Elf. Much improved from its 3.5 version.

The party allows the warlock around for the same reason the warlock made their pact in the first place: the power outweighs the moral cost.

All the classes are my favorite. But I give the fighter the "most improved" award. ^_^

Same here. Yes, there probably is a bit more to remember in 4e. 4e characters and monsters porbably are a bit more complicated than SWSE characters and monsters. But most of the simplifications from SWSE are still in the game, and, from my experience, it plays much more smoothly than 3.X did...

Mobility? Range? Damage isn't the only aspect of a striker. Yeah, I know this doesn't directly affect the debate at hand.

As far as subcultures go, I find goth subculture dated and predictable. Within the scope of D&D, I find Shadar-Kai stylish and progressive.
