QFT. Hate to say it, but, if Eberron is any indication, there are still interesting new settings out there that D&D has yet to explore. I would much rather see something original, especially given that the fluff from these old settings is still usable.

I certainly hope not. Prestige classes and magic items are options that, IMHO, should not become essential to the game. They were in the DMG for a reason; it is up to each DM to decide to what extent magic items and prestige classes will appear in their campaign. Hate to sound like a grognard...

Same here. Although I do like this piece they've given us, I hope it doesn't indicate what it seems to indicate in terms of the overall style of 4e art. I'll take oversized swords and excessive belts over generic fantasy any day. (Of course, if you dislike anime or dungeonpunk on principle...

PCs should not be assumed to have X gp worth of magic items at level Y. 3rd edition was right to put them in the DMG, but magic items, IMO, should be entirely optional and not integrated so deeply into game...

I never use grids in my games, either. For those rare cases that a distance is debated, a ruler is brought in. Different strokes.

Same here. Those skills play a major role in certain games, mine included, but applying this to one skill seems like a fine way of balancing it.
