While I definitely prefer spy stories such as those by John LeCarre, Bond is just iconic. I always find the buzz of who is playing him, which musical act is making a theme, etc... more interesting than the movies even.

I kind of like that its been all over. Single artists, and groups. Its one of my favorite Bond bits. Id love to see The Dinner Party get it, but they are probably not popular enough despite fitting the modern kick.

Prisoners, Enemy, Sicaro... I think folks are typecasting DV. Yes, his recent and biggest films are sci-fi, but its not all he is capable of. um...what? I suppose thats one of a myriad possibility.

Its interesting to see folks assuming a DV Bond film will be a "Dune" version. My guess is that DV has a style that isnt easy for folks to explain so they just point and say, "whatever that is".
