    Experience Q's

In light of the fact that you are doing this to correct the problem of players falling behind and keeping everyone on as even a level as possible with one another, so long as everyone agrees, I don't see a problem with doing this.

    Divine Mettle and Death Saves

I think there is a clear distinction between making a saving throw (located on Page 279) and making a death saving throw (located on Page 295). If they were the same thing, then a Cleric could exploit Channel Divinity: Sehanine’s Reversal. Since death is listed as a condition, if you make a...

    Help me understand the paladin.

Being "sticky" is only one specific way to be a Defender. I don't think the "sticky factor" should be the only defining criteria for what makes a good Defender. After all, as you said yourself, the Fighter is the most "sticky", but Paladins and Swordmages are classified as Defenders too. What...

    Help me understand the paladin.

I play a Pally and one of the other players plays a Fighter, so we get to see each other's weaknesses and strengths. I really like playing the Paladin, but the one thing I am really disappointed in (which I had high hopes for in playing) is their Divine Challenge. It doesn't come up often...

    Hold Person

So here is my two cents to make this a little more balanced... 1) Make it a Close 1 or Melee 1 power. This way you have the slight drawback of putting yourself in harmsway. This could help balance it out. 2) If you prefer to keep it at range, maybe shorten the range to 5 or 3. 3) Change the...

Healing Word (and the abuse thereof)

There isn't much different between the Cleric using Healing Word every 5 minutes and a character using their Second Wind every 5 minutes. they both eat up Healing Surges, which is basically the point of healing surges. Its like people are against a party taking a breather if its more than 5...

    Warlord: STR-primary, not so much...

I don't know what that means, FWIW... Hey, you brought it up. I'm intrigued now... Is that just another way of saying, "I'm a psychologist trained in statistics"?

Pallys get Platemail Feat but Fighters do not?

Except of course when their Fort, Ref and Will is attacked. But other than that, yeah, all the time :hmm:

    Warlord - punished for sacraficing

Your Readied action occurs after the Warlord's action that triggers it. So if you Ready to attack after the Warlord uses an Action Point, then that is when you'll get the attack. This is seperate from Resetting Initiative, which explicitly states that you move your place in the initiative...

    Warlord - punished for sacraficing

Actually, that is Delay. Readied is more like, "“As soon as x happens, I’ll do y.” That is verbatim from the book mind you. One question I have (not sure how this got turned into a Readied Action thread, but anyway...) It states a readied action is an Immediate Reaction, and it occurs AFTER...

    Warlord - punished for sacraficing

How do you define how big of a sacrifice one is over the other though? What do you use to measure it? The Fighter marks the target basically encouraging it to attack him. Take enough damage, and you're dead. The player of the Fighter knows this, and chooses to play the Fighter anyway...

    Advice for A WoW Prodigal

There are a lot of changes since you last played. You are better off checking the Blizzard sites and forums for any WoW advice. Just to answer one question, Feral Faerie Fire is now a spell, not a talent anymore (was it ever? before my time...) Feral rocks IMO. I prefer Cat in feral form...

Difference between Attacks and Attack Rolls.

Yeah, this came up when 4E first came out. The defintion of what constitutes as an "attack" has multiple meanings/definitions. For example, casting Wall of Fog on someone could be considered an attack, even though there is no attack roll involved, just an effect. Then there is the definition...

    The New HeroForge for 4E...

So, what is the status on this? I went to the website and it just seems to be a couple of forums, not really a website per se. And there is no area (that I can find) to download this program or to try out a beta version. So whats the deal with this? Looks promising none the less...

    10% of brain = 100% stupid

I always heard this trope too, and believed it was true (until now, thanks)! So I guess that means, if you want to be a sci-fi writer, your mad scientists have to use 150% of their brain power! Hmmm, which makes me wonder... People why psychic powers such as telekinesis (assuming psychic...
