    Half Elves and Multiclassing

Unless it's a class feature of both classes.

    Excerpt: Multiclassing (merged)

It's possible that the feats section is divided up into heroic/paragon/epic sections. If so, that could conceivably be only the first table of multiclassing feats -- the heroic tier ones. The problem with these excerpts is that there are so many holes in what we know, you could swim an Aboleth...

    Half Elves and Multiclassing

The multiclassing preview tends to suggest that the half elf racial ability isn't as simple as "gain one multiclassing feat as a bonus feat." While "Arcane Initiate Int 13 Wizard: Arcana skill, wizard power 1/encounter" matches up with the Wizard power 1/encounter bit that the sample character...

Are you bothering to read DUNGEON anymore? (and level index)

That's pretty much my situation too. My Dungeon collection contains so many adventures it would take me forever to run them all.... I think I was still subscribed out of habit more than anything else.

Are we allowed to be excited for the system, but not D&D?

There's no talking in your game?

    Build types?

Guesses: Cleric: Battle Priest (Str) or Charismatic Priest Paladin: Champion (Str) or Stalwart (Wis) Wizard: Sage (Wis) or ?? (Cha) Fighter: By Weapon Type -- weapon and Shield vs. Two Handed, possibly others. I'm guessing fighters don't have ranged or TWF builds, in favor of the ranger.

    Disarming a character from powers?

Yes, it works better for an explanation of how you were being held prisoner prior to the game starting. If the kick off event for the game is a party member stealing the key to the device, there will be less throwing stuff. :) If by OP you mean original post, that's true. However, if you...

    Disarming a character from powers?

"The device strapped to your neck is called a compliance collar. Any sort of magic, arcane or divine, will cause it to shoot necrotic energy into your body. Even a cantrip will be extremely painfull, any sort of teleportation will be fatal." It works, but unless the situation changes rapidly...

    Appeal of the defender?

Another thought, if it helps: The main character in Bleach, Ichigo, has had his name translated in the english dubbed version of the show either as "he who defends" or "first defender." If they like anime, maybe that's a selling point?

    Appeal of the defender?

Let them play whatever they want, they can adjust their tactics accordingly. Unbalanced parties can be fun. That said, I just played the Dwarven Fighter in escape from Sembia last night, and she was fun. I don't think I played a fighter in all of 3.x, they really aren't my thing, but 4e...

    Amazon and Preordering

Actually, I got that. I was saying my position was similar to the original poster. Even if the SRD is useless, which I understand it may be, I am still betting on a gigantic thread along the order of "I have the core rulebooks! Ask me questions!" If history is any indicator, this'll probably...

    Amazon and Preordering

I'm in a similar position. I preordered from Paizo to make use of my store credit from the demise of the magazines. I like slipcovers, so I'm getting the gift set. I'd also add that while waiting for the books to arrive there should be plenty of reading to do. First, I understand some sort...

Gamer Radio Zero - Races: Choose the Races: D,G,G,H,S

Githzerai would be better than Githyanki, if its one or the other. I've played Githzerai in play by post and face to face gaming, as well as in Planescape: Torment and NWN2. Githyanki have only appeared in my games as bad guys.

    Conjecture on Multiclassing

I'm also wondering if the half-elf class feature is seperate from the feat multiclassing system, or if it's more like "Chose a Multiclassing I feat."

    Excerpt: Paragon paths (merged)

"Master of the High Seas" sounds like a good warlord paragon path to me. Broad enough to encompass pirates, privateers, and naval officers. I'd assume that the powers and abilities wouldn't be involved in actually piloting or navigating the ship, though... that'd be a freebee. How about this...

Absolutely. Remove the TV qualification, and I'd also submit Honor Harrington.
