Perhaps you are thinking of the Resistance spell? It lists a lot of types of damage that can be effected. You can find it (among other places) in the PrRC, formerly known as the PHB lite.

The Rogue class seems to have no use for intelligence. It's primarilly Dex based, there's a build focussed on Strength and another on Charisma, Con is usefull to everyone, and Wisdom powers perception. Hard to see any rogue investing much in Int, though, unless Int does something we don't know...

That describes our group as well. I have some reservations on the wisdom of allowing the "Touch of Golden Ice" feat from Exalted Deeds, but otherwise it all worked out fine.
