Personally, I don't ever play evil characters. I've DMed an evil party because the players begged me to, but never wanted to play one myself. I'm just a nice guy I guess, plus I'm a real Tolkienite, and in my fantasy, good ALWAYS triumphs over evil. Maybe I'm old fashioned...

I know, so the book I talked about, the Firm, by John Grisham. It's a great book and would lend itself perfectly to d20 Modern... What I'm planning is to change it to a financial firm, who deal in stock, shares etc. but use the same behind the scenes ideas. Minus any specific names of course.

The principle of an advert is to sell a product, not necessarily to be scientifically accurate. But yeah, looks weird. ;)

The whole gamin thing has a bad image problem. I think if half the jocks, punks and general idiots in the world who think RPGs are geeky tried them, I think they'd enjoy them. I don't know about LARPers, though, the guys I know who LARP are pretty weird!... :p

No one plays druids anyway do they? I think they're the worst core class, why be a druid when you can be either a cleric and be tougher, or a wizard and have better spells.

Maybe I'm just a fast reader... Like I said, the topic isn't something I like to read about for hours on end.

Hey, I live in Wales. We're like ten years behind the rest of the world in everything: films, books, jokes... ;)

Using a different tone of voice, and using different styles of speech (posh, common, etc) can work a whole lot better than accents. Unless the accents particularly good, I always end up cracking up when someone tries it. It also takes a lot of skill to keep an accent up for an entire session.

I try not to think about the future. Too many uncertainties. Someone can spend their whole life just coming up with theories about what is GOING to happen, without actually DOING anything.
