Tips on running a long-running campaign

After GMing for a long time and never really running a campaign that I haven't grown bored with after a few months, I really want to run an epic campaign that can run for a long while. My homebrew, which has been swimming around my mind for a long time, is now nearing completion, and I really...

    d20 Modern experiences

I just ran an all-nighter last Friday that turned out quite good. We started a Genetech campaign, using some of the stuff from an old Dungeon magazine (don't remember which issue off the top of my head), and the campaign started with the PCs having to break out of a government installation where...

Is Dragon Magazine even *Relevant* anymore?

I just wanted to say - please keep on discussing this! I edit Ethos magazine, an online RPG ezine, and something we think about loads is player-oriented articles vs. GM-oriented articles. This thread is great market research! Thanks, guys!

Pathfinder 1E Paizo improved? probably a myth

Ouch. There goes my idea. I live in the UK, and have never subscribed to either Dragon or Dungeon. I thought about subscribing to Dragon after 3E came out, but other people's criticisms put me off that idea. I've grabbed about ten-odd copies of both Dungeon and Dragon that I've seen in gaming...

What Are You Reading? (March 2005)

The Teeth of the Tiger by Tom Clancy. Not bad book. Good to pick up and read when I feel like it. Chapters are a bit long though.

    Play-by-post D&D impressions

The main advantage of PbP is that because everyone gets longer to think over and write their posts, the games can be a lot more descriptive, and the role-playing a lot better.
